Working On My Fitness: Quest Bars
Back in January I joined crossfit.
I didn't know much about it, other than you workout like crazy and their members tend to follow the paleo diet.
After months of being confused by the jargon that accompanies crossfit and committing social suicide on the regular at classes, I've finally got the hang of it.
Every few months my xfit gym does a paleo nutrition challenge and I decided to try it out since it was around my birthday and I wanted to slim down.
It sucked alot for the first couple of weeks until I learned how to make paleo desserts...which I'll of course post later.
Anyways, we were allowed to have protein shakes and bars as well as quinoa..
So this challenge was technically light-weight paleo.
The results were good and I lost 5lbs and some body-fat and such within the 7 week challenge. Of course, I cheated here and there but still..I was pleased by my results.
I'm now on a pseudo-paleo maintenance plan and it's been rough to get back on the horse.
It does help when you come across good food that's approved for the challenge and with that..I've discovered Quest bars.
I'm currently obsessed with the cinnamon roll and cookie dough flavors.
Seriously.
They're amazing!
I got mine at GNC, and with my gold membership a package of 12 was around $23. Yes, it's pricey but worth it when you want a treat without cheating and sacrificing your waistline.

Drake Watch: Drake Disrespects Diddy, So Diddy Clocks Him

Since this blog was originally posted, we have an update on why Diddy felt disrespected and it all has to do with the beat on Drizzy's 0-100 single...so he punched him in the shoulder over a song.

Our sources say, producer Boi-1da had given both Diddy and Drake a song to record more than 8 months ago. We're told Diddy sat on the song, which frustrated Drake because he wanted to record it. So recently Drake recorded the song on his own and it did well, which pissed Diddy off.
Diddy saw Drake at LIV Monday for the first time since the song was released. Sources close to Diddy say he confronted Drake, who just blew him off, and that's when Diddy said, "You'll never disrespect me again," and then punched him.
We're told Drake ended up at an ER because in the ruckus he hit his shoulder and exacerbated an old injury.

Tracklist Released for Nicki Minaj's "Pink Print" Album
It's been a minute since Nicki's released a new album and after a push back, the new album is due out by December 15th.
Nicki released the back over of the album on Instagram, “So excited to share the official track listing for #ThePinkprint,” she wrote.
There are 19 tracks total on the album, and have some heavy players making guest appearances like Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Skylar Grey, Chris Brown and of course her YMCMB brothers, Wayne and Drake.

Disney Releases Official Trailer for New "Cinderella" Movie
Since I've seen the movie poster with just the glass slipper, I've been waiting for the new Cinderella movie.
This is definitely a different one than Drew Barrymore's version once upon a time ago.
Lily James (from Downton Abbey), is young Ella.
This Kenneth Branagh-directed film, also stars Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden and Helena Bonham Carter.
As you can tell by the trailer, Blanchett is the evil step-mother and Bonham Carter is the fairy godmother.
I.can't.wait!!!

Solange Knowles Gets Hitched
The Knowles family broke the internet this weekend and they didn't have to go nude to do so.
Beyonce's little sis aka Proud Family song Solange married her longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in New Orleans this past weekend.
Knowles, 28, and the 51 year old music video director have been dating since 2008.
Everyone usually hates that Solange is constantly in her sister's shadow, but that's changed over the past few years with her singles, DJ career....oh, and elevator-gate.
However, this wedding surprised me because it was so fashionable. Knowles strayed from tradition by wearing a chic cape with her gown, then sporting an uber-glam jumpsuit.
It was the most gorgeous hipster-chic wedding.
As you can tell, Solange had an all white everything bridal party and it looked incredible. The wedding festivities kicked off on Friday with a movie night . They watched the movie the couple watched on their first date, Mahogany.
Then on Saturday, the couple biked to the ceremony....yes biked.
How adorable can they get!?
After the ceremony, the couple and guests lit sparklers and celebrated around the French Quarter.
No, Bey didn't perform...
But Solange and her son Juelz performed their own choreographed dance to No Flex Zone

Yes, I've never heard of Paper Magazine until the record stopped on November 11th...that was until we saw the full monty the day after.
I can't believe Yeezy allowed her to do it!
The cover of the magazine shows Kardashian exposing her infamous bare-behind with the words "Break the Internet" which she chose to hashtag on social media. Funny, because social media was on fuego after these photos were revealed.
Of course, some celebs chimed in. Like Glee's Naya Rivera whom some of accused of copying Kardashian West's steez in the past.
All in all, it's just what Ye likes, controversy.
Turns out Kim did the shoot while in Paris for Fashion Week. She wasn't paid for the shoot because basically, the magazine couldn't afford her. However, it was the opportunity to work with famed photog Jean Paul Goud.
Although, the memes have been hilarious.

Kimye Attends World Series Game 5 in SF
Sure the SF celebs are attending the games like Joe Montana, Barry Bonds, Willie Mays and Journey's Steve Perry. However, this year Kimye was in the house.So, the Giants are in the World Series and even though I'm an Oakland A's fan, I still have to show some Bay Love.
If you all can recall, last year around this time the Kardashian-West couple had a magical evening at AT&T park when Kanye popped the question!

It's a sad day for the Giudice family.
I really didn't think they were going to jail!
Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, Teresa and Joe Giudice, were both sentenced in their fraud case.
Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in prison, while Teresa was sentenced to 15 months.
The judge staggard the sentences so there was one parent to stay home with the couple's three girls: Gia, Gabriella, Milani and Audriana.
"I fully take responsibility for my actions," Teresa read from a letter in court, per the New Jersey Record. " I deeply love my family... My four daughters are my life."
Originally Teresa was facing a term of 21 to 27 months.
Prior to Teresa's sentencing, husband Joe was sentenced to 41 months in prison.
In addition to the prison terms, each also were sentenced to two years of supervised release, and ordered the couple to forfeit $414,588. Additionally, the judge fined Joe $10,000 and Teresa $8,000
Teresa, who once famously said that living in a house somebody else lived in was "gross" along with her husband pleaded guility to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud back in March. Joe also pleaded guilty to tax evasion.
Teresa has been ordered to surrender Jan. 5, 2015, and Joe's term will not begin until she is released.
Joe, also faces the possibility of deportation. He immigrated to the United States from Italy when he was a baby and didn't know he wasn't a citizen.
Back in 2010 Joe had a run in with the law when he got a DUI. His lawyer Miles Feinstein told the court that Joe appears to have a drinking problem, the Salas said she will "recommend a facility" for him to go to within the Bureau of Prisons.
The federal case started when the couple filed for bankruptcy back in 2009. Back then the couple was accused of failing to list their income and assets. They also failed to list the $110,000 they were promised when they signed on to the Real Housewives franchise.
Joe was also charged with five counts of failing to file income tax returns on roughly $1 million in earnings from 2004 until 2008.
"The indictment returned today alleges the Guidices lied to the bankruptcy court, to the IRS and to a number of banks," U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a statement when the couple were charged. "Everyone has an obligation to tell the truth when dealing with the courts, paying their taxes and applying for loans or mortgages. That's reality."
Today after court, Fishman told reporters at a press conference, "The fact that she's a celebrity played no role in her punishment."
The couple will sit down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live this Monday at 9 p.m. for their first interview post-sentencing.
No matter how you look at this story, it's just unfortunate for the couple's 4 young daughters.

Yup, a year ago and now it's over.
Amber filed for divorce on September 23rd. The couple began dating in 2011, and got married on July 8, 2013.
The timing of the split is surprising given that just two weeks ago, Amber took to Instagram to wish Wiz a happy birthday with a romantic message:

It's Over: Kris Jenner Files for Divorce
Like we all didn't see this coming.
In June of 2013, Kris and Bruce Jenner announced their separation, TMZ has now announced Kris has filed for divorce.
The divorce was filed pro per, which means no lawyer.
She cited "irreconcilable differences" as grounds for the divorce.
Neither party will get spousal support and they'll have joint-custody over Kylie.

This isn't the only divorce going on in the family, Khloe is still in the middle of hers.

Basically America's best girlfriend got married over the weekend and I couldn't be happier.
I mean, I've been following her since her Laguna Beach days.
On the cover of this week's US Weekly, Conrad shows off her Badgley Mischka gown.
And of course Conrad- the Paper Crown and LC Lauren Conrad - designer was hands-on for the entire process. "She was involved in the process the whole way," Badgley told the magazine. "She had a really clear notion," he added. "And she stuck to her guns." She would fly to NYC every few months to work with the designers and even took the reigns with alterations.
At one of the meetings at her condo, she
decided to ditch the sleeves on her dress. "I felt like I couldn't pull
them off," she explains in the issue. "I don't have super long arms."
She joked that when the Badgley Mischka tailor was hesitant she
threatened to take matters into her own hands. "I was like, 'Sir, if you
don't cut them off, I'm going to use my kitchen scissors and cut
them.'" Not to worry, it didn't come down to that!
In the end,
Conrad walked down the aisle in a two-tone Chanitlly and Alençon lace
dress with crystals, pearls and baby glass beads. With a 10 ft. train!According to Us, Conrad summed up her gown with three words: Glamorous. Classic. Simple.

Just last week, CBS and the NFL announced that Thursday Night Football would be debuting a new theme song by Rihanna.

Since all of this is going on, CBS decided to axe Rihanna's pre-recorded performance of Run this Town ft. Jay Z. The network also took out a comedy sketch that was set to be part of the show opener.
Instead, CBS This Morning anchor Norah O'Donnell will host a pre-game show newscast.
"It's important to realize we are not overacting to this story but it is as big a story as has faced the NFL," CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus told SI.com. "We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage. A lot of the production elements we wanted in the show are being eliminated because of time or tone."
Rihanna is a victim of domestic violence and the Baltimore Ravens play the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight.

4Chan is a site many of you have never heard of. According to the Washington Post, 4Chan has been described as the “darkest corners of the Web” by a New York Times writer and the “ninth circle of Hell.”
On Sunday evening, the website dumped numerous nude photos of celebrities allegedly from their phones. Personal photos and videos that were thought to have been deleted apparently weren't completely as these hackers got their hands on them.
Jennifer Lawrence's camp responded with: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” they said in an email. “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
Kate Upton's lawyer says, “This is obviously an outrageous violation of
our client Kate Upton’s privacy,” said Upton’s lawyer Lawrence Shire in
an email to BuzzFeed. “We intend to pursue anyone disseminating or
duplicating these illegally obtained images to the fullest extent
possible.”

Since I've graduated from college, I've been envious of people going back to school.
I mean, I miss getting new school clothes and school supplies and getting excited to begin a whole new school year.
Even in college I would buy new supplies and clothes. It was something about the "fresh start" and "new beginning" each semester would promise.

Actor/ Comedian Robin Williams Commits Suicide

The 63 year old was found unconscious and not breaking in his home in Tiburon, CA.
Marin County Coroners Office says at this time, his death suspects to be caused by suicide by asphyxiation

This single/video comes off of his album My Krazy Life which features slappers like My Hitta, Who Do You Love, and Left, Right.

Working On My Fitness: Tone It Up's Garlic and Herb Turkey Burgers

With all that's going on in the celebrity world, I know I've been slacking on the Working On My Fitness portion of the blog.
I frequently visit, Tone It Up, because not only are the founders, Karena and Katrina, have bodies to die for, but they're always offering such encouraging words of support and make fitness fun!
They have super easy and delicious healthy recipes that I try to cook up whenever I get the chance.
Below is one of my favorites for lunch and/or dinner. I try to make these as often as possible to keep my on track of my weight-loss goals.

1/2 pound 99% fat free organic ground turkey
Mix turkey in a bowl with…
1/2 cup egg whites
3 tbs olive oil
3 tbs fat free feta cheese
Fresh crushed garlic
1/4 cup spinach
1/4 cup basil leaves
Pinch thyme
Lay on a bed of lettuce
