Throwback Monday

This week's throwback is to remember the great song that is One Sweet Day. As Lil Nas X's Old Town Road beat it at most weeks at number 1 on the billboard charts. Mariah and Boyz II Men's hit isn't the only song the kiddie trap-country fave beat out. It also beat out Despacito.

I feel it's unfair to compare Lil Nas X's song to Mariah's, because the way we consume music nowadays is so different. During the era of One Sweet Day, people had to physically go out and buy the record or call the radio station to request the song. In 2019, you have everything on your phone. Regardless, congrats Lil Nas.

                             In 2012, Drizzy and Breezy infamously got into it at a nightclub. Fast-forward to 2019, the pair have collaborated on a hit slow jam record and are poking fun of the incident in a music video for the track. I love this song and the video made me LOL like 10 times.
