R.I.P. Patrice O'Neal

ComedyCentral.com
Comedian Patrice O'Neal died today due to complications after having a stroke last month.

The 41year old took part ,along with other celebrities, in Comedy Central's roast of actor Charlie Sheen in September. He also appeared in the Comedy Central special Elephant in the Room, and had guest roles in TV shows including The Office and Arrested Development.  Film appearances included In the Cut, 25th Hour and Head of State.

Here is one of O'Neal's funniest bits on his "Elephant in the Room" about animal abuse. My sister showed me this a while back and I couldn't stop laughing.

A Very Gaga Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I hope you're all enjoying quality time with your families and friends.....stuffing yourselves with good food and enjoying some football (Go Niners!) and the like.

I'm hoping after your dinner, you have your dessert with some Lady Gaga!

Gaga-loo's Thanksgiving special will air tonight on ABC....and I can't wait!
There are so many things I'm thankful for this year. Health, family, friends, my job (s), celebrity hot-messes, good music, good food and GREAT people!

What are you thankful for?

Throwback Monday

When I was a freshman in high school I was light-weight offended Lou Bega didn't mention my name in this song.
I mean he mentions almost everyone else!

Demi and Ashton Call it Quits

crushable.com

How sad...I really thought their blended family would've worked out!

Demi Moore announced to the Associated Press today that she will be ending her 6 year marriage to Ashton Kutcher.

Moore's statement to the A.P. reads:
"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation."
This comes as no surprise amid the cheating scandal back in September involving Ashton and some blonde chick.

I've always liked Ashton Kutcher...but if his cheating's the reason they are divorcing...what a sleazebag!

Around the Bay Gal Halloween 2011

Is it me or did Halloween come and go rather quickly this year?
I hope you all had a blast, because I know I did!
Here's a peak of how I spent my holiday!

I met Michael Jackson

They can make your bedrock!

The Jay-Z to my Beyonce
Mr. NoShookHands!

I snapped into a Slim Jim with
Randy "Macho Man" Savage

Ran into Kim  in the
Ladies Room
Schwiiiing!

Now, I'm excited to hear my favorite Christmas songs, pour some eggnog, bring out the ugly holiday sweaters and put on Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Jingle All the Way!

Drizzy's 'Take Care' Leaked

I guess I'm kind of a goodie-goodie, because when an artist's album leaks on to the internets (*George W. Bush voice*)....I don't like to download the entire album because I want to wait to buy the actual CD and be surprised.

I guess it goes back to getting excited for my birthday and Christmas...the excitement that surrounds the day before..anticipating what you're going to get!
You know, something to look forward to!

However, I may download a song or two if I haven't heard it on the radio yet. So, when Drake's sophomore album Take Care was leaked....I just downloaded a couple of songs and fell in love with Motto!

<

My favorite line is:
I’m in the building and I’m feeling myself
Rest in peace Mac Dre, I’mma do it for the Bay, okay

That line reminds me of when I met Drake in S.F. last year and when I asked how he liked the Bay Area and he said "it's hyphy!"
Okay, so he may have been 5 years too late on the hyphy movement....but I was lightweight impressed!

Around the Bay Gal Books: Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?

Yes! I do more than listen to music and gossip about celebrities! I actually read a book or two here and there. I picked up this little gem today at Target.

theconcernsofmindykaling.com
her website is just as funny as her book!

I mean I had to! The title of the book is hilarious within itself!

You may notice the author as Kelly Kapoor from The Office.
Not only is Mindy Kaling hilariously funny in The Office and the 40 Year Old Virgin...she's also a writer and producer. She's even co-executive producer and writer for several episodes of The Office.
I don't really watch The Office....I don't know why I don't. I mean it's so funny. I just forget when it's on.

One of the things that draw me to Kaling is that she's East-Indian. Yes, that may seem like a silly reason to be drawn to someone so talented....but it makes me proud to see someone from my culture do so well in comedy! It's refreshing to she her in roles where she isn't playing: a taxi driver, seamstress, liquor store owner/clerk, doctor, etc. It's nice to see a desi take on a role that isn't so stereotypical.
About time!

She also kind of reminds me of myself, in the sense that our humor comes from making fun of ourselves!
I think if Mindy and I met....we'd be friends....or at least I'd like to think so!

Here's a little biographical information about Kaling thanks to Mr. Wikipedia:

Kaling was born Vera Chokalingam[1][2] in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Tamil parents from India.[3] Her father, Avu, is an architect and her mother, Swati, is an obstetrician/gynecologist.[4] [5]
She explains that she has been known as Mindy ever since her mother was pregnant with her when her parents were living in Nigeria. They were already planning to move to the U.S. and wanted a "cute American name" for their daughter, and liked the name Mindy from the TV show Mork & Mindy. The name Vera is the name of the "incarnation of a Hindu goddess." [6]
She graduated from Buckingham Browne & Nichols, a private school in Cambridge in 1997. The following year, she entered Dartmouth College, where she was a member of the improvisational comedy troupe "The Dog Day Players" and the a cappella group "The Rockapellas", the creator of the comic strip "Badly Drawn Girl" inThe Dartmouth (the college's mainstream newspaper), as well as writing for the Dartmouth Jack-O-Lantern (the college's humor magazine). She graduated in 2001.[7] In 2003, she portrayed Ben Affleck in a play titled "Matt & Ben", which she also co-wrote with Brenda Withers. The play was named one of Time magazine's "Top Ten Theatrical Events of The Year".

R.I.P. Hip Hop Legend Heavy D

People.com
UPDATE:
TMZ's Harvey Levin tweeted that Heavy D just got back from shopping and took the stairs. A designer found him on the ground and cradled him until EMTs arrived. It's not confirmed if the rapper died of a heart attack.

TMZ reports legendary hip-hop artist, Heavy D, died today.
"Heavy D -- real name Dwight Arrington Myers -- was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today ... and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old. We've learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy's Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway.
When help arrived, we're told Heavy D was conscious and speaking -- and was transported to a nearby hospital. He died a short time later. Cops are investigating the death -- and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Police are currently at the home."

Heavy D's last tweet on twitter reads: @heavyd: BE INSPIRED!
What a very fitting last tweet.

Such a sad day for the hip-hop community.

Hot Mess Reality Show News: Duggars Expecting 20th Child

Kris Connor/WireImage

The Duggar family is expecting yet, another baby!

The Associated Press reports: Forty-five-year-old Michelle Duggar said she's in good physical

shape and that she's not worried, despite complications during her last pregnancy that led to the premature birth of their youngest child two years ago. She says she's made it through her first
trimester safely. The couple has said they don't use birth control. Michelle Duggar says she didn't necessarily expect to get pregnant again and that she and her husband are excited to welcome the new addition to the family.
Oh Lawd have mercy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe the government hasn't intervened with this woman's uterus and shut that thing down! Seriously, another kid, Mr. and Mrs. Duggar!?! Didn't you learn the last time when your 19th child was born extremely premature!?
Then again, what do you expect when your husband's name is Jim Bob?

R.I.P. Joe Frazier

LATimes.com

The boxing great died yesterday due to complications with liver cancer. Smokin' Joe died at 67 years old. Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather has offered to pay for Frazier's funeral. Reports say Frazier struggled financially after his boxing career ended.

Aww, how nice of Mayweather....I knew there was a heart in that douchebag somewhere! I wonder if 50 Cent is going to try to get in on this somehow as well.

New Britney Spears Video: Criminal

Okay, so this video has been out for a minute, but I just got around to seeing it.
It's a hot video starring Britney and her real-life beau Jason Trawick. The two play a modern-day Bonnie & Clyde '11 in Londowntown.
It's a steamy video....however could do without Brit's annoying "hand-dance" movements.
Seriously, we understand you can't shake it like in Slave 4 U anymore...but those dramatic head, arm and hair movements aren't fooling us.

Kim Kardashian Writes Letter to Fans

Today on Kim's website she writes a "heartfelt" letter to her fans apologizing for her actions.....
Maybe she's realized we've had enough of the media-whoring family.....Interesting how she's off in Austrailia right now already doing her first "post-divorce interview."

Here's the letter .....

A Message To My Fans

November 1, 2011

This probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. I see all of the support and I am so thankful for my fans, friends and family who are helping me through this difficult time.
I am trying not to read all the different media reports but it’s hard not to see all the negative ones. First and foremost, I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! I share so much of my life on a reality show, that contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out to not be the smartest decision. But it’s who I am! We filmed Kourtney giving birth, Khloe getting married, break ups, make ups, our best moments and our worst moments. These were all real moments. That’s what makes us who we are. We share, we give, we love and we are open!
Everyone that knows me knows that I’m a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.

I’m being honest here and I hope you respect my courage because this isn’t easy to go through. But I do know that I have to follow my heart. I never had the intention of hurting anybody and I accept full responsibility for my actions and decisions, and for taking everyone on this journey with me. It just didn’t turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for.

There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.

I’m sorry if I have hurt anyone, but my dad always told me to follow my heart and I believe now that I really am.

Gawd, I'm so over this girl right now. Funny how E! was just airing Kim's Fairytale Wedding this morning.
