More "Marvin's Room"

Alright, Alright....everyone stop with the covering of Marvin's Room!

Teyana Taylor has finally made herself relevant and released the video to her version of Marvin's Room titled Her Room.

Online entertainment reports say “ 'Her Room' is a depiction of the battle between our hearts and minds when our worlds are seemingly shattered by the downside of love. This piece is intended to relate to everyone that’s been down a similar road. We hope this helps."

Teyana Taylor "Her Room"

Earlier this week, Chris Breezy released yet another remix of the Drake hit THE SAME DAY Drake drops the video. Brown's remix is from the perspective of the man who the taken lady is with.

Interesting how Taylor and Brown are friends and they both are trying to get on the Drake and Jojo bandwagon.
Okay, now can everyone STOP covering the song because it's going to make me hate it!

I think homeboy is in desperate need of a shave!

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

I still can't believe it's been two years since the King of Pop died.

To honor MJJ, I watched a mini-marathon of his performances, music videos and made-for-TV-movies.

How are you remembering Michael?

Throwback Monday

In honor of Tupac's birthday last Thursday and for Dexter Isaac to admitting to shooting and robbing the rapper back in 1994.

"Music Is What Feelings Sound like...."

The title for this blog entry speaks volumes after hearing Marvin's Room by Drake and Jojo's remake of the track (the girl's perspective).
Funny how art can imitate life sometimes!
Also big ups to Jojo for a tiny comeback with this song!

Drake's voice sounds very low in this track, but from the comments on youtube I guess it's for copyright reasons. I hope so, because it would sound WAY better in his original voice.

Happy Birthday Tupac!

Since I'm a West Coast girl, as well as a girl from the Yay Area, it's a must that I commemorate what would have been Mr. Tupac Shakur's 40th birthday.

Dexter Isaac sent a statement to All Hip Hop claiming he shot and robbed Tupac Shakur in the November 1994 attack, which Isaac claims was orchestrated by Czar Entertainment founder James Rosemond. Isaac, a former friend of Rosemond, is an inmate currently serving life in prison for murder, robbery and other offenses.

Too bad we still don't know who fired those fatal shots killing the rapper in Las Vegas 15 years ago. Sad to think he was only 25 years old when he died. He had so much more to give to the world musically. However, we all know that his music has lived on.

To celebrate 'Pac's birthday, I'm going to play one of my favorites!

Schwarzenegger's Love Child and Mistress Speak to Hello!

The Schwarzenegger-Shriver housemaide and homewrecker gave Hello! magazine the first and ONLY exclusive interview with Mildred Baena.

Baena and Arnie's lovechild grace the cover of Hello! with a very awkward pose.
Seriously....is it just me or does homeboy's head look like it's been a victim of the copy +paste?

Baena told the British magazine that she finally told her son Joseph the truth about who is real father was his reaction was: Cool!  It seems other household workers have been whispering that Schwazenegger was the baby-daddy for a while and Maria had her suspicions.

Baena says Maria Shriver asked her point-blank one day last year if Schwarzenegger was the father to Joseph."Maria did ask me directly if Joseph was Arnold's son and I just broke down,' Guatemala-born Mildred says. 'I dropped to my knees and I was crying, saying that, yes, he was and I was so sorry. She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn't Arnold's fault, that it takes two. That is what I admired about her, her strength and the way she handled it."

Wow, Maria is a strong woman because I would've probably punched that woman square in the face! Then set Arnie's clothes on fire Angela Bassett-style!

Hugh Hefner and Fiancee Call it Quits

Poor Hugh!
Playboy founder and Holly Madison's ex, Hugh Hefner, and his fiancee Crystal Harris have called off their wedding, which was supposed to happen THIS WEEKEND!

Seems like Crystal got cold feet!

The couple during happier times

Hefner announced on twitter:
@hughhefner The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart.

He then goes on to discuss how his friends and family are helping him get through this rough time.
@hughhefnerI told the guys about the breakup Monday night & they were very supportive. We watched the doc "Say Goodbye to the President. " Powerful.

@hughhefnerMy ex, Kim Conrad, & her mother, came by to lend their emotional support. I appreciate it.

To clear up rumours, Hef tweeted:
@hughhefner The TMZ report that Crystal & I "had a nasty argument," prompting her to call off the wedding, is untrue. There were no arguments.

The Playboy tycoon does have a sense of humour about the ordeal.
@hughhefner Since we're not getting married on Saturday, I've scheduled a movie: "Runaway Bride." Seems appropriate.

I don't know about you guys, but I had a feeling this was going to happen. Hef and Holly just need to get back together!

Fat Joe....No Longer Fat?

Seems like Joey crack crack crack lost a few pounds in his waist for ya. (notice the Missy reference?)

Internet entertainment and gossip sites say the boricua rapper lost anywhere between 80-100 lbs.
Get 'em Joey!

Media Takeout says Fat Joe lost the weight for health reasons.
Maybe he didn't want to end up like Big Pun?

You can notice Joe's slim physique on his new video "Drop a Body ".

Ironic, since he technically dropped a body from his frame.

Man, he makes me want to start hitting the elliptical a little harder now!

Album Review: Born This Way

Gaga, you did it again!

To be honest, readers. I didn't think BTW would amount to how much I liked Gaga's debut album The Fame  and it's supplement, The Fame Monster.
But boy, was I wrong!
I popped it in on my long commute one day and realized I only skipped through a couple songs. That's how I know that's a good album in my humble opinion.
One thing I HATE about this album is this
stupid photo of Gaga as a motorcycle!
Besides the album's namesake single and Edge of Glory, I like almost every single track on this record!
Though, I did notice a biblical theme to this album.
Hello, "Judas", "Bloody Mary", and "Fashion of His Love."

God and Jesus references aside, I really like this album.

Here are my favorites (in track order)
1.) Marry the Night- Gaga says it's Whitney Houston meets Bruce Springsteen
3.) Government Hooker
4.) Judas
5.) Americano
6.) Scheiße- Online translations say this means "shit" in German
7.) Bloody Mary- MY ABSOLUTE FAVE!
10.) Fashion of His Love
12.) Heavy Metal Lover
13.) Electric Chapel
14.) The Queen
15.) You and I

Throwback Monday (a bit late)

I spent part of my Memorial Weekend in L.A. with my BFF Sorry I Couldn't Make it to Your Party. While admirning the sunny (but breezy) weather, I didn't have access to a computer to update my weekly Throwback Monday.

So, in honor of sunny L.A. and being from the West Coast (which is the best coast), I found this week's throwback very fitting.
