Nicki Minaj FINALLY Claps Back at Remy Ma with Three Singles
Well, it's about damn time!
Nicki Minaj has FINALLY responded to both of Remy Ma's diss tracks with three singles hitting music sharing sites No Frauds, Changed It and Regret in Your Tears all dropped on the interwebs Thursday evening. No Frauds includes her YMCMB brothers Lil Wayne and Drake and Changed It features just Wayne. . Basically, Nicki waited to actually MAKE money on the diss records...according to her post on Instagram.
She challenges Remy to respond in 72 hours and offering to pay her a half-a-million dollars if she can get an interview and NOT mention Minaj.
Team Remy and Team Nicki have been at odds for almost two weeks after Remy dropped ShEther. Fans were waiting for Nicki's response and assumed she just couldn't fight back lyrically. Meanwhile we saw her take her lyrical fingers to social media starting a beef with Trey Songz and posting pictures of her famous friends. We basically had to wait for her to return from Paris Fashion Week to finally respond and here we are.
In No Frauds, Minaj raps, “You can’t be Pablo if your work ain’t sellin’ / What the f— is this bitch inhalin’? / Tried to drop ‘Another One,’ you was itchin’ to scrap / You exposed your ghostwriter / Now you wish it was scrapped." Minaj also touches on Remy's personal life, especially when she went to prison.
On the Eve of Nicki's responses, Remy did an interview expressing how she wish she would've done things differently when it came to she and Nicki:
After explaining that it was the behind-the-scenes career interference that ultimately pushed her to release “Shether,” she noted that she wishes things could’ve gone differently between her and Minaj. “I actually liked her but don’t try and come for me,” she said. “It just bothers me that me picking apart another female is what went viral. We could’ve done this working together.” When Nigatu asked why that didn’t happen, Remy responded, “It wasn’t me, I just think it would’ve been cooler if we came together and did something crazy and that’s what everyone was talking about. I don’t regret it, I’m just not particularly proud of it.”
Some critics say Remy's rethinking the diss tracks because rumors were swirling that Nicki asked Nas to prevent Remy from performing the song because of his rights to the song's beat which comes from his own diss track, Ether. However, TMZ has found that Nas didn't have an issue with it, Universal did. Basically, they didn't like that Remy took Nas' beat and made money off of it without their permission. So, the song has been taken off of Soundcloud and the radio.
So, Remy had to take a BIGGER L.
So, Remy had to take a BIGGER L.
So what's your opinion on the beef?
Could these two kiss and make up and come up with a fire record?

Listen to Katy Perry's New Song "Chained to the Rhythm"
A newly blonde Katy Perry has been promoting her new single for a little while now in the most unconventional way possible. On Thursday she teased the song's release was Friday February 10th, but her Katycats could get an early listen if they find a disco ball on a map and plug their headphones into said ball to get a listen of her new song, Chained to the Rhythm ft Kip Marley (Bob's grandson!)

Missy Elliot Drops New Single & Music Video for "I'm Better" ft Lamb
Yeah he got bands in the Bando/Missy got dudes in Orlando/Plus I got cars that he paying for/Man I be too much to handle
The best thing about waking up this morning was seeing this video pop up on my Instagram timeline. Missy Elliot has just dropped a single AND a new video, which means FIRE (insert fire & alarm emoji here). Missy teased the video's release with this behind-the-scenes video on social media Thursday night announcing the music will drop at midnight on Friday.
The song is great, the costumes are on-point and the choreography is amazing. All of the makings of a typical Missy video. Amazing, yet there's always something unexpected. We all know she's a fan of the space cadet-themes and there's hints of that here. And she looks amazing!!!ATTENTION‼️ New MISSY single & video dropping at MIDNIGHT‼️#ImBetterπ₯π₯A MUST SEE! pic.twitter.com/sIrxuxUG9u— Missy Elliott (@MissyElliott) January 27, 2017

Know Young M.A. and Listen to "OOOUUU"
Young M.A.'s IG@hennynhoes |
You may have heard it on the radio, at the club or on Beyonce's instagram.
OOOUUU is the song of the summer and if you haven't heard it, you better get on it.
It reminds me a lot of Bobby Shmurda's Hot Ni**a. With the beat and the sirens blowing, it is reminiscient of the 2014 hit, but like this article on Inverse says, Young M.A.'s got bars.
So who is she?
M.A. stands for me always. Hailing from Brooklyn, M.A. is from the Bed-Stuy neighborhood once home to Biggie, HOV and Lil' Kim. The 24 year old credits 50 Cent as her earliest rap influence. M.A. claims she's been rapping since she was 9 years old.
Right now she's not signed to a major label, but I'm pretty sure this is going to be happening soon. She's a female rapper on the way to killing the game from both the males and females, which offers a fresh perspective rap fans haven't heard in a while.

Frank Ocean Releases "Blonde"

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over.
Frank Ocean has finally released his highly-anticipated sophomore album Blonde.
Yes, we all thought it would be called Boys Don't Cry and then we thought it was Endless.
Endless ended up being more like a musical mix tape.
Blonde dropped exclusively on Apple Music saturday night and of course fans went crazy.
Why wouldn't they? The collabs on this album are insane!
Andre 3000, Beyonce, James Blake, Kendrick Lamar and Jamie xx are all featured.
Ocean dropped the album after releasing the music video for the single Nikes.
Turns out Boys Don't Cry is actually a magazine!
Peep the info here.

Frank Ocean Releases Visual Album "Endless"
Frank Ocean - Endless from Audio Premieres on Vimeo.
I'm going to be honest here, I don't know what the hell is going on.
I wake up at an ungodly hour for my day job and I woke up this "morning" to find out Frank Ocean has released new music, an actual visual album that will only be on Apple music for the time being. The work is titled Endless which was originally supposed to be the highly anticipated Boys Don't Cry.
Endless is 45 minutes long and the people at Apple are saying to be on the lookout for more Ocean songs.
This is the first taste of original Ocean content we've been given in years, since the release of Channel Orange back in 2012.
Just give us the album already, Frank.
Stop Beyonce-ing us!
In the meantime, I'm taking this and listening to it.

Britney Spears Debuts New Single "Clumsy"
We all know now Britney is dropping her 9th album at the end of the month. So far we've heard Make Me and Private Show.
Well, now we have a third single!
Clumsy debuted on Apple Music on the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
It reminds of me a more mature and sexually-hyped Oops I Did it Again.
I'm neutral on it.
Please Brit, make this album better than Britney Jean!
Take a listen:
Also, in other big news. Brit will take part in James Corden's Carpool Karaoke on the Late Late Show on 8/25.

Britney Spears Pranks Jimmy Kimmel and Announces New Album 'Glory'
I would die of shock and happiness if Britney woke me up in the middle of the night to shake her hair and give me an Oops I Did it Again moment.
Brit woke up the late night host at 1:45am toperform her song Make Me with her male dancers in tow and a walking Christmas tree lighting specialist.
Of course, this prank was a precursor to let us Godney fans know that she's debuting a new album, Glory. The new album will debut later this month and right now you can pre-order on iTunes and get her new song Private Show instantly.
You've heard Private Show in her latest perfume commercial.
I'm so excited that she's announcing this as a "new era"for her! She looks great, I love Make Me and I love HER!

New Music: Britney Spears Debuts "Make Me" ft. G-Eazy
Instagram: @britneyspears |
Little did we know, these two were in the studio making magic happen and we're getting NEW music from Britney!
Rumors have been swirling about the possible video for the song was leaked online with an IG pic and other secret videos out there, which I've seen but can't reveal the source unfortunately.
Brit has been working really hard lately, when she's not giving you MySpace mom-type posts on Instagram, she's debuted her new perfume and a hot ad to go with it.
Can we talk about how GREAT and AMAZING her body still is!?
SLAAAAY BRITNEY!

Kanye Debuts New Music
Yeezy has a SoundCloud now, and there's new music on it. Some found this out via Travis Scott's instagram post.
The two singles are When I See It and Say You Will.
Say You Will is a remixed version of his 808s & Heartbreak single. Recently he brought it back for his two-night performance at the Hollywood Bowl.
Reports say "the remix features contributions from Caroline Shaw, the young composer who is a recent Pulitzer Prize winner."
I hope this means the highly anticipated SWISH album is coming out soon.

Janet Jackson Promises Fans New Music
Ever since #conversationsinacafe hit the Twitterverse on May 16th aka Janet's birthday promising a new movement, album and world tour via a cryptic Vimeo video...the internet went crazy!
If that wasn't enough, a press release announcing this is happening for real! Janet- Miss Jackson if you're nasty- even has her own label now appropriately titled Rhythm Nation Records. Jackson's collaborative press release with BMG promises fans a new album by the fall...her first in 7 years!
I wonder if her super-rich hubby helped with this?
I really hope this album is 1084293845 times better than Discipline because that album did nothing for me. I want another Damita Jo or All for You (aka the best comeback of all time!)
This will also be her latest work since her brother passed...c'mon Janet...don't disappoint!

Iggy Azalea's "Pretty Girls" video ft. Britney Spears
Okay, in theory this song and video should be amazing but it's not.
Britney looks gorg and so does Iggy, but the song sounds like every other I-G-G-Y song and the concept of the video is stupid.
Basically, Britney is this Valley Girl who is chillin' outside when a spaceship carrying Iggy crashes into her swimming pool.
Then she gives her a makeover *Hello, Cluelessaka Fancy*
Then becomes one of them "pretty girls".
Also, watch the video....Britney's weave disappears and reappears.
C'mon guys!
Regardless, Britney's actually dancing in this video which is a win-win for all.

New Music: "Everyday" - A$AP Rocky Song Ft. Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson
If you didn't know how much I loved Rod Stewart, now you do.
He's so loved in my family, it's like he's an honorary member.
So, today when I found out through the Twitterverse that he's featured on a song with A$AP Rocky, I was so excited.
Hip-hop and Rod!? Sure, it's a hook from one of his older songs....but I'll take it.
My two favorite things!
On his latest singl Everyday it features Rod as well as Miguel and Mark Ronson.
It's a great track.
This song will be on Rocky's highly anticipated second album At. Long. Last. A$AP. Rocky.
Who didn't love Love. Live. A$AP.

I'm not the biggest Nicki Minaj fan, but I do respect her trying new things that many female rappers haven't done before.

Derek King's "Jump" ft. Kirko Bangz and Sage the Gemini
Okay, I've been belting this song out for the past few months and have to share it.
The video is so-so, but the song....ohhh, the song!
It has me booty-poppin' while driving.
I could just be biased because Derek King is from the Bay Area and he features the Yay's Sage the Gemini.
