It's been a minute.

Happy New Year!

Yes,  I know, we're more than 6 weeks into 2021.

While 2021 seems like it's already been 5 years long, I hope you're all hanging in there as we near somewhat precedent times.

Like many of you, I have been binge-watching TV shows, doing socially distanced hangouts, Zoom dates/ happy hours and working out at home.. while eating all the snacks.

I also watched the New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears and have a lot to say about it!

However, it's been a while since I've done a Throwback Monday and to honor the Legendary Miss Britney Spears... this one is for her.

I chose this song because I just finished Entourage and Vinnie Chase appears in this video... however I never say the late-90's classic with him and Clarissa Explains it All.

                             Today, the legendary Miss Britney Spears was born.... and the world has been better for it. Yes, she's not quite the same but we all have a Britney bop we rock from time to time.

20 years ago, the Legendary Miss Britney Spears dropped one of the most iconic albums of our time "Baby, One More Time."
Over the weekend the pop star's freshman album turned 20 years old!
Yes, I feel old too. 
Doesn't the news make you want to run... or hide...sometimes?

We all remember this iconic moment in pop-culture history, when we were introduced to Miss Britney Spears. We all loved the song, the choreography, the music video theme...however...what do you mean hit me baby one more time?
Did Brit want her man to call her back? Cause physical harm? Was this a sexual innuendo?
WHO CARES!
On this day in 1999 was when Baby One More Time became Ms. Spears' first time on the Billboard Hot 100.
So grab your furry hair ties and shimmy to your nearest basketball court.

                                       Lifetime has done it again. Made a TV movie of one our time's biggest icons. The unauthorized biopic on Britney Spears showcases everything about the star's life, from her relationship with Justin Timberlake to marriage to Kevin Federline to her shaved-head meltdown. Britney, played by Natasha Bassett, narrates the film by saying “I’m not going to say I was fun, because I wasn’t,” says Bassett as Spears, imitating her Southern drawl. “Everything’s just kind of this blur, you know? Until you hit rock bottom.”
The film premieres on Lifetime on Feb. 18th. Are you going to watch?

First and foremost, I am a Britney fan.
I enjoy her and have since 1998.
However, I'm not going to deny she's not what she used to be for obvious reasons. She's not 19 year old anymore, she's gone through alot and the industry has definitely changed since her rise to stardom.
Her last two albums have not impressed me one bit, aside from a couple of singles and some hot videos. She wowed me at her Vegas show because I think she finally found her niche.

All in all, when Britney debuted the video for Slumber Party I wasn't expecting much, but I ended up being surprised.
She looks great, the song will most likely grow on me and she's actually dancing. I do find her collaboration with Tinashe so random. Is this supposed to make Britney more relevant?

Regardless, go ahead Britney!

Britney Spears Wants to Collaborate with Ex-Justin Timberlake

In an interview with Most Requested Live with Romeo, Britney was asked which artists she would like to collaborate with, from there she gave an answer that has made headlines ever since.

"Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He's a genius I think. He's very rock n' roll. He sings from the soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she's great." Then she goes on to say the one line we've all been hoping for, for 15 years "Justin Timberlake is very good."

Now I do have my thoughts on this. 

Did Britney forget that she has already light-weight collaborated with Aerosmith before giving us all life during the Super Bowl in 2001? Sure, it wasn't a song but they have worked together. Also, does Britney realize what she said about Timberlake? I'm convinced she's forgotten they've dated.

Meanwhile, when news broke to JT that his ex was interested in doing music together he was down. Actually, he seemed really flattered and excited. 

When E!' News' Marc Malkin "She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.  I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news. I apologize for not being in the know…I'm accessible, give us a call!"

Sounds like Justin has been dying to get this news for years!

Of course, I would love to see this happen but I have my doubts. I could definitely see this Britney-Gwen thing happening and would love it if it could.

Miss Britney Spears is giving back to her home state in need. Following the devastating flooding in Louisiana, Britney is literally giving the clothes off of her back to help raise money for flood victims and help the Red Cross.

Britney Spears Debuts New Single "Clumsy"

We all know now Britney is dropping her 9th album at the end of the month. So far we've heard Make Me and Private Show.
Well, now we have a third single!
Clumsy debuted on Apple Music on the wee hours of Wednesday morning.
It reminds of me a more mature and sexually-hyped Oops I Did it Again.
I'm neutral on it.
Please Brit, make this album better than Britney Jean!

Britney Spears Pranks Jimmy Kimmel and Announces New Album 'Glory'

                                   I would die of shock and happiness if Britney woke me up in the middle of the night to shake her hair and give me an Oops I Did it Again moment.

Brit woke up the late night host at 1:45am to perform her song Make Me with her male dancers in tow and a walking Christmas tree lighting specialist.

Of course, this prank was a precursor to let us Godney fans know that she's debuting a new album, Glory. The new album will debut later this month and right now you can pre-order on iTunes and get her new song Private Show instantly.

I'm so excited that she's announcing this as a "new era"for her! She looks great, I love Make Me and I love HER!

New Music: Britney Spears Debuts "Make Me" ft. G-Eazy

                                               Not too long ago the Bay Area rapper, G-Eazy, showed up at Britney Spears' Las Vegas show Piece of Me.
Little did we know, these two were in the studio making magic happen and we're getting NEW music from Britney!
Rumors have been swirling about the possible video for the song was leaked online with an IG pic and other secret videos out there, which I've seen but can't reveal the source unfortunately.

Brit has been working really hard lately, when she's not giving you MySpace mom-type posts on Instagram, she's debuted her new perfume and a hot ad to go with it.
