Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Instagram: @therock

This could not have happened to a better guy!
The self-proclaimed Hardest Worker in the Room is getting his due.
Variety exclusively reported on Tuesday afternoon that, wrestler turned actor, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later this month.
OOOh, Tyrese is going to be REALLY salty now.  As the congratulations poured in, the 275lb stunner was still humble.

Formerly known as the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, Johnson began his acting career in the early 00's while still wrestling for the WWE, in small television roles like on  That 70s Show and DAG then turning to movies like The Scorpion King.
He eventually became the star we all know today!
Did you even know he's a NY Times best-selling author?
The Rock has achieved much success over the past 17 years or so, and his appreciation and gratitude is never lost. Check out one of his latest Instagram posts that left me teary-eyed:

Congratulations, Rocky!

The Rock Featured in InStyle Magazine

The Rock has always been into fashion.
Many new fans might now know it now, but I sure did when he used to enter, the then, WWF ring in a $500 Versace shirt and gold Rolex watch.
Throwback Dwayne

Sure, he's been the Most Sexiest Man Alive, but now he's in InStyle magazine.
He's already on the cover of Entertainment Weekly as his alter-ego Dwanta Claus.

In this issue of InStyle, Dwayne Johnson touches on the rumors of him running for President in 2020, athletes taking a knee and other things.
But can we focus on how he slays a turtleneck tho?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Meets Boy Who Saved Drowning Little Brother

Instagram/TheRock

A few weeks ago,  Jacob O'Connor saved his little brother's life after copying what he learned The Rock do in San Andreas.
The 10-year-old from Michigan found his two-year-old brother laying face down in a pool at his grandma's house.  Remembering what The Rock did to save his daughter in the movie, Jacob did the same for little brother Dylan.
Jacob pulled Dyan out of the pool and started performing compressions on his chest. Dylan told his grandma what he was doing after performing CPR and she called 911. Jacob did the compressions for about 90 seconds until Jacob's heart started pumping.
It didn't take long for The Rock to catch wind of this story and couldn't wait to meet the real-life hero. Johnson took to Instagram to chronicle his meeting with Jacob.
"Jacob was super nervous and shy the whole time we hung out, so it was fun getting him to laugh and talk. He threw me for an unexpected spin when he showed up on set wearing a shirt that he proudly made with my bull insignia on the front and on the back was the picture of me holding our two puppies, Brutus and Hobbs, after I rescued them from our pool.
Seeing that picture on this boy's shirt, got me in the gut. Eventually, we would lose Brutus to heaven, but it wasn't the picture of Brutus that made me tear up, it was the fact that this 10yr old kid, had a heart big enough to put our puppies on his shirt after he saved his little 2yr old brother's life.
What a special day. What a special kid. Thanks Jacob for being awesome and for being the kind of person we all aspire to be, " posted the Baywatch star on social media.

Under Armour Brand Sponsors Speak Out on CEO's Trump Comments

abcnews.com
On Tuesday the CEO of the athletic brand Under Armour called President Trump a real asset to the United States in an interview with CNBC.
Well, the brand's most famous representative, Stephen Curry, didn't agree.
Curry told the San Jose Mercury news,  I agree with that description. If you remove the 'et' from asset.
Plank says these comments were from a business perspective, but Curry wasn't having it.
I spent all day yesterday on the phone with countless people at Under Armour, countless people in Kevin Plank's camp, my team, trying to understand what was going on and where everybody stood on the issue.

However, Steph wasn't the only one who commented on the matter. The brand's sponsored celebs spoke out, one of them being The Rock.
Dwayne The Rock Johnson took to Instagram to announce his stance

I appreciate and welcome the feedback from people who disagree (and agree) with Kevin Plank's words on CNBC, but these are neither my words, nor my beliefs. His words were divisive and lacking in perspective. Inadvertently creating a situation where the personal political opinions of UA’s partners and its employees were overshadowed by the comments of its CEO. A good company is not solely defined by its CEO. A good company is not defined by the athlete or celebrity who partners with them. A good company is not a single person. A good company is a team, a group of brothers and sisters committed to working together each and every day to provide for their families and one another and the clients they serve. We don’t partner with a brand casually. I partner with brands I trust and with people who share my same values. That means a commitment to diversity, inclusion, community, open-mindedness and some serious hard work. But it doesn't mean that I or my team will always agree with the opinion of everyone who works there, including its executives. Great leaders inspire and galvanize the masses during turbulent times, they don't cause people to divide and disband. My responsibility here is not only to the global audience we serve, but also to the thousands of workers who pour blood, sweat, and tears into making Under Armour strong. A diverse group of hardworking men and women who possess integrity, respect and compassion for one another and the world they live in. Debate is healthy. But in a time of widespread disagreement, so is loyalty. I feel an obligation to stand with this diverse team, the American and global workers, who are the beating heart and soul of Under Armour and the reason I chose to partner with them. My commitment is as real as my sweat and callouses that thicken daily. #CommittedToThePeople

American ballerina and another bad ass, Misty Copeland took to the 'gram as well to give her statement.

I have always appreciated the great support and platform that Under Armour has given me to represent my community, gender, and career on the world stage. However, I strongly disagree with Kevin Plank's recent comments in support of Trump as recently reported. Those of you who have supported and followed my career know that the one topic I've never backed away from speaking openly about is the importance of diversity and inclusion. It is imperative to me that my partners and sponsors share this belief. I have spoken at length with Kevin privately about the matter, but as someone who takes my responsibility as a role model very seriously, it is important to me that he, and UA, take public action to clearly communicate and reflect our common values in order for us to effectively continue to work towards our shared goal of trying to motivate ALL people to be their best selves.

Under Armour released a statement on the matter:
At Under Armour, our culture has always been about optimism, teamwork, and unity.  We have engaged with both the prior and the current administrations in advocating on business issues that we believe are in the best interests of our consumers, teammates, and shareholders. Kevin Plank was recently invited at the request of the President of the United States, to join the American Manufacturing Council as part of a distinguished group of business leaders. He joined CEOs from companies such as Dow Chemical, Dell, Ford, GE and Tesla, among others to begin an important dialogue around creating jobs in America. We believe it is important for Under Armour to be a part of that discussion.

We have always been committed to developing innovative ways to support and invest in American jobs and manufacturing.  For years, Under Armour has had a long-term strategy for domestic manufacturing and we recently launched our first women’s collection made in our hometown of Baltimore, MD. We are incredibly proud of this important first step in the evolution of creating more jobs at home.

We engage in policy, not politics. We believe in advocating for fair trade, an inclusive immigration policy that welcomes the best and the brightest and those seeking opportunity in the great tradition of our country, and tax reform that drives hiring to help create new jobs globally, across America and in Baltimore.

We have teammates from different religions, races, nationalities, genders and sexual orientations; different ages, life experiences and opinions. This is the core of our company. At Under Armour, our diversity is our strength, and we will continue to advocate for policies that Protect Our House, our business, our team, and our community.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Makes the Billboard Hot 100

Instagram: @therock
Is there anything this man can't do?
Dwayne The Rock Johnson has made the Billboard Hot 100 as a singer for his song You're Welcome from the animated Pixar film Moana.

This is Johnson's first entry on the Hot 100!
2016 has been a huge year for my future husband, The Rock. He's been named the Sexiest Man Alive by People, starred in quite a few movies, his HBO series Ballers has taken off, and his business ventures like his line for Under Armour and his production company Seven Bucks Productions are all proven to be lucrative.
Congrats Dwayne!

People Magazine Names Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Sexiest Man Alive

peoplemagazine.com

WHAT HAVE I BEEN TELLING YA'LL FOR 17 YEARS!!?!
I feel like a proud parent right now! Well, maybe not because that's creepy.
Maybe more of a "supportive partner".

The man on People magazine's annual Sexiest Man Alive issue is none other than my boo, Dwayne Johnson.
The big reveal was on Good Morning America on Tuesday.

"In his interview with People, Johnson said he thinks the sexiest thing about him for his fans is his sense of humor.'The Rock' also shared one of the most romantic things he's ever done with his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, who is also the mother of his 11-month-old daughter.
'I was in the kitchen one morning and we were talking about Percy Sledge, [he sings] “When a man loves a woman.” And she goes, 'Oh! I love that song!' And then before we went to bed, I called her into the bedroom, put my phone on, hit play and it was [that song]. And we slow danced. On the romantic chart, that might be up there.'
The former wrestler also said there's a "good chance" that he would run for president one day.'I used to say it jokingly but every time I was asked, it was with a real genuine interest. And it was very earnest. And so I started to really think. Could I make a difference? Could I surround myself with really brilliant people to help me make decisions? Do I care about this country? And when the answers continued to come up yes, then I thought, there’s a good chance. Yeah, one day,' he told the magazine."
Of course he's super romantic, and he definitely has my vote if he EVER runs for president.
The issue hits stands on Friday (you know I'm copping like 25627428309 issues)

Vin Diesel Posts Cryptic Video on Instagram and Other Fast & Furious 8 Drama

wonderwall.com
I cannot believe there's more drama unfolding in this story.
On Wednesday Vin took to Instagram and posted a really cryptic video saying
"After being on set since literally Christmas to finally, finally, finally to come home," Vin said in an Instagram video. "And to learn the little angel learned a new word. I'm going to have to share it with you, it's more important than anything. When I heard her say 'happy,' I just lit up in ways I can't even describe."
He then continued with,  "So give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything."

Since then he's posted this today:

In the mean time, Dwayne The Rock Johnson posted this video and caption on IG saying, My FINAL WEEK of shooting #FastAndFurious. There's no greatness ever achieved alone.. it's always a team effort. We promised an epic prison break out for you guys and we delivered. HUGE THANK YOU to my ohana (family) stunt coordinator JJ Perry and his bad ass fearless stunt team - as well as my cousin and incredible stunt double @samoanstuntman. Thank you team for the willingness to "die hard" and drop your blood & sweat daily for our movie. #MyStuntBrothers #Loco4Life You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of TEAM EFFORT. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step on to my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team - that's a family - there's gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world. #Fast8 #IcemanCometh #FamilyGrowth

Since The Rock took to Instagram earlier this week to blow the lid off the Fast and Furious 8 drama. TMZ spilled the beans that the mysterious Candy Ass was Vin Diesel.

Now TMZ is reporting the entire crew for the 8th part of the Fast franchise agrees with Johnson.
Production sources tell TMZ, The Rock has been upset with Vin's work ethic for a long time, and he's not alone. Members of the crew tell us Vin was often 30 minutes to an hour late to shoot scenes ... and it wasn't because he was late to the set -- he was simply in his trailer and wouldn't come out.
We're told Vin didn't like Monday 7 AM calls so production was forced to make the start time 10 AM to accommodate him.
And the crew felt Vin's arrogance was out of control, especially because he had a producer title. We're told he wouldn't listen to anyone and would goad people, including The Rock, by criticizing their acting.
The crew has a vastly different view of The Rock. They say he's the ultimate professional who is always on time and always nails his scenes. They also say he's easy to work with.
As we reported, Vin and Rock have been clashing for a long time and it came to a head Monday when Rock exploded on social media, calling out a male co-star (it's Vin) for being unprofessional.
And as we told you, Vin confronted Rock Tuesday in Rock's trailer, but their issues remain unresolved.
Of course the crew would side with The Rock.
Who wouldn't? ;)

The "Candy Ass" The Rock Called Out is Vin Diesel

screeninvasion.com

Well, the secret's out.
This is like a real-life WWE story line. Is Vince involved in this?
The candy ass Dwayne The Rock Johnson called out on instagram is none other than Fast co-star and franchise mainstay, Vin Diesel.
Wait. What!?!
Yup!
TMZ broke the news Tuesday:
We're told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn't sit well with the former wrestling champ.
Our sources say The Rock and Vin had a meeting on the Atlanta set mid-day Tuesday ... partly because tensions were running so high it was almost impossible to shoot scenes. We do not know if they resolved their issues.
As we reported, almost the entire cast is angry at Rock for causing a stir just a week and a half before filming ends.
Well, the case is closed.
I'm surprised. Vin seems like a cool guy who would be easy going.
Regardless, the drama isn't with Tyrese.
My bad.

Dwayne Johnson Calls Male Members of Fast & Furious 8 Crew "Candy Asses"

IMBD

This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part😉. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses

Uh-oh, someone's pissed off The Rock and it's not HHH or Stone Cold Steve Austin. I've never known Dwayne (because we're good friends) to send out subliminal messages online like this.
On Monday, The Great One aired out his anger on Instagram with a not-so-cryptic caption.

I wonder who he's talking about. Vin? Luda? Tyrese? If it were me, I'd guess Tyrese.
Damn, whoever he's mad at, let's hope they work it out.
I'd hate to have him on my bad side.

Lin-Manuel Miranda Takes Over Walt Disney Animation Instagram and Sings with The Rock

With the hashtag #linstagram, Lin-Manuel Miranda took over the Walt Disney Animation Studios instagram page with a little guess the Disney movie game.
Miranda sang a song from a Disney movie, and we all had to guess.
Among the movies were Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast, Mulan and more.
The Hamilton creator took-over the social media account to premiere a new peak at the upcoming film Moana featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (insert heart-eye emoji). Check out the videos.
The third one down is my fave.

Dwayne "The Rock"Johnson and Girlfriend Expecting First Child

Well, if you know me at all you know that I'm sad about this news. Since the 8th grade I've been stanning for Dwayne.
Since then I have been hoping we'd cross paths one day and you know, get married and start our life together.
But that's neither here nor there.
US Weekly confirms the former wrassler and his girlfriend of 9 years are expecting their first child together. Johnson already has a 14 year old daughter, Simone Alexandra, with ex-wife Dany Garcia.
“They are so excited!” the insider tells Us of Johnson and Hashian.
Hashian is a singer and songwriter.
I didn't realize he and Hashian have been together for 9 years, because he divorced from Garcia back in 2007.
The math doesn't add up, Dwayne.
Either way, congratulations to the happy couple.
I'll just be over here eating my feelings.

Hulk Hogan Out With WWE

flickeringmyth.com

We don't know if he was fired or resigned, but what we do know is that if you search Hulk Hogan on WWE's website, you'll find no trace of his existence.

The Hulkster issued an apology after reports surfaced that the WWE fired him following racist remarks that were made years ago. A report by the National Enquirer no less. Some media outlets were saying he used the N-word towards Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

“Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it. This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.”
Hogan‘s lawyer told People that “he decided to resign from WWE because he didn’t want to put them or his family through this.”
However, earlier on Friday the World Wrestling Entertainment media team released this statement:
WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

The alleged rant can be heard in the leaked unauthorized sex tape of the wrestler with his friend's wide. In it he uses the N-word along with other racist works. The Enquirer says he "directed his vulgar and prejudiced hatred at his daughter Brooke, who he accused of sleeping with a black man.
Using language so hate-filled and vile it would shock even his most ardent fans, Hulk brazenly blustered to Heather Clem – the wife of his former pal Bubba “The Love Sponge,” with whom he was covertly filmed having sex with in 2012 – that he was an unabashed 'racist.' 'I guess we’re all a little racist," he crowed on the tape."

Wow!
What a way to ruin your legacy.
