Janet Jackson Officially Confirms Pregnancy at 50 years old

It's official, Janet Jackson is pregnant with her first child and at age 50. People magazine has the first official photo of Janet with an adorable pregnant belly.
Earlier this year Jackson hinted that she and her husband Wissam Al Mana were working on "planning their family". The superstar took to her Instagram to make the announcement after declaring she was postponing her Unbreakable World Tour.
“We thank God for our blessing,” says the star.

It was a great day for my family...and singer Rod Stewart's, of course. He's now Sir Roderick David Stewart.
The British rockstar was knighted on Tuesday by Prince William at Buckingham Palace. In a nod to his Scottish heritage, Rod "wore tartan trousers and a scarlet-trimmed military style tunic". The 71 year old singer was honored for his "services to music and charity" according to the Associated Press.
For those who know me, know that my family LOVES Rod Stewart. He's literally an honorary member of my family.
Accompanied by his own little family, wife Penny Lancaster and his two youngest children Alastair and Aiden, Rod says he and Prince William "talked about music, and he said `It's great that you're still going' and I said: `I have to -- I've got eight children!'
Rod's oldest son Sean took to social media to congratulate his old man.
Talking more about his conversation with the Prince, Rod says "he congratulated me on my long career, and I said how happy this made me," Stewart said. "I just wish my mum and dad had been here to see it."
"When the award was announced by Queen Elizabeth II earlier this year, Stewart said it was "a monumental honor." He added: 'I thank her majesty and promise to `wear it well.'"

Solange Knowles Gets First #1 Album with "A Seat at the Table"
These Knowles sisters are something else!
First Beyonce gives us life with Lemonade, and then Solange drops her a surprise album of her own and it's now at number one on the Billboard 200. A Seat at the Table beat out Bon Iver's much anticipated album, 22, A Million.
Solange Knowles has long been in the shadow of big sister, Beyonce, but with this new album of hers she's creating a lane for herself this time.
Elevator jokes aside, Solange's credit for her vocals, art, vision and lyrics has long been overdue.
This album took Solange 4 years to create and the songs everyone seems to like are Cranes in the Sky, Don't Touch my Hair, Weary and Mad. Cranes in the Sky was actually written 8 years ago when Raphael Saadiq handed her a CD with some beats and she wrote the track in her hotel room that night.
The album has Lil Wayne, Kelela, Q-Tip, The-Dream, Dev Hynes, Master P and Kelly Rowland. The album gives me deep soul vibes, but Knowles also sprinkles in some spoken word especially around race. She has a snippet of her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, describing how she's always loved being black and one from her father, Matthew Knowles, on how mad he was being roughed up by the cops and the Klu Klux Klan as a young man in the South.
Solange even released a behind-the-scenes documentary on how A Seat at the Table came to fruition.

Confessions of a Beauty Product Junkie: Selena for MAC

Anything for Selenas!
Since I was in Miami when the MAC's Selena makeup line was on sale online, I was determined to cop at least a lipstick from the special edition collection.
After work I stopped by my local Macy's to see if I could snag something, and luckily the line wasn't so bad.
The only things that were left were the three lipsticks: Como La Flor, Amor Prohibido and Dreaming of You and the bronzer. In line you were given a number and then a MAC girl was there to take your order, I was only allowed to buy one of each and if I wanted to more, I had to go back in line.
I ordered one of each.
Before you judge, it wasn't all for me. I stopped at the department store on my way to my hair appointment. Since my stylist is one of my BFFs, I got the bronzer and Como La Flor for her, while I kept the other two shades. Remember, I was lucky just to get one lipstick?
I was joking with friends that I was the only East-Indian in line for this, but it didn't matter to me. Yes, I wasn't aware of Selena's greatness when she was alive. Yes, I wasn't a fan until the movie starring Jennifer Lopez opened my eyes to Selena's talent and beauty.
However, I did understand why this was such a moment for fans of hers, especially the ones who have been riding with her since day 1.
This line all started when Selena fans started an online petition in 2015 asking the makeup giant to honor the late-Tejano superstar.

Months later, MAC answered the call and announced the makeup would debut in October of 2016. The line worked closely with Selena's sister, Suzette, to make sure the line embodied her sister.

I'm sure she was definitely smiling down on this entire event to know that all of her fans still love her and that she has gained some new ones since she left earth.
What also touched me is her sister's instagram post on the day of the in-store launch.

Kim Kardashian Paris Robbery Drama

At around 3am on Monday while in Paris for Fashion Week, Kim Kardashian was allegedly upstairs in her room at the Hôtel de Pourtalès when about 5 masked men dressed as cops zip tied the reality star's hands and feet and gagged her with duct tape and locked her in the bathroom while robbing her of all her jewelry and two cell phones. Most famously, they took the large ring Kanye just gifted her. The loss is estimated at $10 million.
Kim was able to slip through the zip ties and cry for help. Her rep confirmed she was held at gunpoint and was unharmed but badly shaken.
The robbers gained access to Kardashian's room via the night concierge who was handcuffed.
According to reports, Kardashian West was without a body guard. He was with sisters Kendall and Kourtney. It's been said Kanye has maintained a semi-permanent residence at the Hotel for about 5 years, so Kim felt safe without security.
Fans were given a hint of the news when Kanye had to abruptly end his set at the Meadows Festival in Queens, New York. While performing Heartless, Kanye rushed off the stage after telling fans he there was a family emergency.
The pair reunited in New Jersey at the Teterboro airport and have had Presidential-like security ever since at their Manhattan abode.

Numerous reports have come out that Kardashian West feared the suspects were going to rape her as she wasn't fully clothed. There have also been rumors that this was an inside job within the hotel or within her security. There has also been talk that this is just another scheme hatched by the KarJenners to keep their names in the limelight and to promote their upcoming season.
Personally, I believe this really happened and it frightens me that this public entity doesn't have security 24/7. I was surprised and glad to see other celebs and people sticking up for Kim on how this is no laughing matter.

The fashion icon told the Associated Press "(She is) too public, too public — we have to see in what time we live. You cannot display your wealth then be surprised that some people want to share it."
He added, "I don't understand why (Kardashian) was in a hotel with no security and things like this. If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room."
