I used to skip this Destiny's Child song most of the time on the "Survivor" album and JUST realized there's a video for it.
This video screams early-00s AND I'm here for it.
In honor of Miss Kelly Rowland's birthday that just recently passed.
Here's one of my faves from her.....not including all of her hits with Destiny's Child.
On this day 3 years ago, Beyonce did the unthinkable and dropped an album on iTunes without any warning. Any promotion....nothing!
She just posted one thing on social media and the beyhive went mad!
Setting the bar for artists to come, this album broke the internet and gave us the phrases Drunk in love, I woke up like this, surfboard, etc.
On Monday night, Queen Bey accepted, The Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Fashion Icon Award. She did it while looking fly as hell wearing a hat that looks like it came fresh off her Formation World Tour.

Presenting the award to Beyonce was organization's chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg.
“Thank you Diane. It’s such an honor to receive this award from you.
You know, as long as I can remember, fashion has been a part of my life. It’s effect on me actually started before I was born.

My grandmother was a seamstress. My grandparents didn’t have much money and couldn’t afford my mother’s Catholic School. So my grandmother sewed clothes for the priests and nuns, and uniforms for the students, in exchange for my mother’s education.
She then passed this gift down to my mother and taught her how to sew.
When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels didn’t want to dress four black country girls. We couldn’t afford designer dresses. My mom was rejected from every showroom in New York.
But like my grandmother, she used her talent and creativity to give her children their dreams. My mother and my Uncle Jonny designed all of our first costumes and made each piece by hand…individually sewing hundreds of crystals and pearls…putting so much passion and love into every small detail. And when I wore these clothes onstage, I felt like I had an extra suit of armor. It was so much deeper than any brand name…my mother and my uncle and my grandmother were with me…I couldn’t fail.
My mother designed my wedding dress, the dress I wore when I won my first Grammy…the list goes on and on…
This to me is the true power and potential of fashion. It’s a tool for finding your own identity, expression, and strength. It transcends style and is a time capsule of our greatest milestones.
So to my mother, my uncle, and my Grandma, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for showing me that having a presence is more than the clothes you wear or your physical beauty. Thank you for showing me how to never take no for an answer. Thank you for showing me how to take risks, work hard, and live life on my own terms.
And I want to say thank you to every designer that works tirelessly to make people feel like they can write their own story. You are fairy godmothers, magicians, sculptures…sometimes even therapists.
I encourage you to not forget this power that you have or take it lightly. We have an opportunity to contribute to a society where any girl can look at a billboard or a magazine cover and see her reflection. Soul has no color, no shape, no form…just like all of your work, it goes so far beyond what the eye can see. You have the power to change perception, to inspire and empower…to show people how to embrace their complications and flaws to see the true beauty and strength that’s inside all of us.
In honor of seeing Beysus tonight.....let's throw it back to the good ol' days of Destiny's Child.
"...ladies leave your man at home...because it's 9:30am and Christine Kaurdashian's blog is Jumpin' Jumpin'."
I can't even keep up with all of the projects she's doing!
Check out the video above to get you hyped for her HBO doc Life is But a Dream and for Bey, Jay and Blue....it really is!
DC3 fans...here's what we've all been waiting for! Nuclear is the group's first original single since 2005.
What do you guys think?
Personally, it sounds like a typical Destiny's Child love song and I love it. It has a little early-90s-R&B feel, which I love.
What do you think?
Check out my friend, Stuff I'm Into's blog to get another take on the single!
The Lord has answered all of our prayers...the clouds have parted...the sunshine has shined on us....and Destiny's Child along with Justin Timberlake have made an important announcement.
J.T. is finally returning to music and Destiny's Child is coming out with a new album!
It's like I'm in Jr. High all over again!! Minus the bad hair, acne and braces.
In Timberlake's teaser titled I'm Ready, he explains how music means more to him "than anyone else in the world."
According to NBC.com "I've only done two albums in 10 years," Timberlake says in a
voiceover as he's seen walking through what appears to be a recording
studio. "What does the next decade mean for me?" His last release was
"FutureSex/LoveSounds" in 2006. With a countdown clock ticking away over on his website, Timberlake wants you to be as anxious as he says he is. "I'm the one who sits and is obsessive about it before you even get
to hear it," Mr. SexyBack says of his music. "As close as I get to it, I
don't know that I could physically torture myself that much year in and
year out, and expect it to fulfill me the way that it does."
And if that news wasn't good enough to make your year....Beyonce made an explosive announcement via her website that Destiny Child will be releasing new music too! "We are so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in 8 years!" says the group's Facebook status.
The album will be called Love Songs and will be released Tuesday, January 29,
2013.
Comprised mainly of slow songs recorded between 1997 and 2004, Love Songs features "Nuclear," the first new Destiny's Child recording since 2004.
