Don't have Tidal? No problem!
Beyonce's latest album Lemonade is now on iTunes.
Did you watch on Saturday?
I did of course, and on Sunday.
Having a full day on Saturday I really didn't enjoy the special presentation. I found it boring, but LOVED the 6 inch featuring the Weeknd, Sorry and Freedom.
When I watched it a second time with more rest and more time, I fell in love with the album.
I loved the concept, the depth of the lyrics and how Beyonce has grown as an artist.
Prior to the 4 album I was a mediocre Bey fan. Her lyrcis were the same line over and over again and the songs were played out on the radio.
When 4 came out I heard more lyrical diversity, catchier songs and a more bad ass attitude.
Then when her self-titled album dropped in 2013....I became a STAN!
Now with Lemonade, even though it took me 2 tries, I understand the concept, I get it...she's a grown woman doing her own thing.
Do I think Jay cheated on her? I mean, this album alludes to it. Then there was elevator-gate back in 2014. Then there are the rumors over whether or not Becky is Rachel Roy. Roy is Dame Dash's ex-wife, Dame was once Jay's Roc-a-Fella partner back in the day.
At the end of the day, it's Jay and Bey and we'll never know the real story unless they tell us.
Now excuse me while I get back into formation and learn these lyrics prior to her show in May.
Everyday I'm hustlin' for stories. Pop Culture Enthusiast. Beauty Product Junkie.

Beyonce and HBO Debut New Trailer for "Lemonade"
I don't know what exactly this is, but I'm ready for it!
Since Friday, Beyonce has been hinting at her latest project Lemonade premiering on HBO on April 23rd.
Is it a film? A new album? A documentary?
From the looks of it, she's basically topping the release of Beyonce by not having it be a surprise visual album, but a full-on action film.
The project debuts the day before the Formation tour kicks-off.
This is being called a world premiere event.
I can't take this anymore.
I aged 10 years last week trying to cop some Ivy Park gear last week.....I just need some relaxation.

Beyonce's "Life is But a Dream" Review
hiphopnmore.com eonline.com Looking like Papa-Jigga Man |
The only good thing about being sick over the weekend was my TV was full of copious amounts of Beyonce.
My eyes were glued to her Life is But a Dream documentary as well as her Next Chapter interview with Oprah.
I loved to be finally let into B's life, however I felt I wasn't let in all the way. Fans were still kept at arms length, which left me with some more questions. I was expecting to delve a little more into her managerial break-up with her father, her miscarriage and her life now as a mom. I felt Bey was talking in little fragments instead of whole sentences where I can fully get infomation.
But who am I kidding? This is Beyonce! She's the epitome of secret-keeping and this little bit she revealed to us, is a lot to her!
We finally got to see Baby Blue Ivy and can I just say she's ADORABLE! She looks so much like Daddy Hov.
The doc is comprised of snippets of: home movies when Beyonce was a littlem girl, concert performances, laptop video confessionals, Blue's sonogram, initmate moments of Jay and Bey singing to Coldplay's "Yellow".
Fans get a peak inside the delivery room on Blue's birthday, with Mama Knowles wrapping Bey's hair in rollers. Bey also reveals where she got the name for her baby girl, "We passed by a beautiful blue tree [overseas]. I think it's blue ivy. That would be quite appropriate." So much for those Blueprint rumors.
From watching these two programs with the superstar, I was left with a huge amount of admiration and respect for her. She's such a hardworking woman and wanted us all to know....when it comes to matters of the heart....she's just like everyone else.
She's still trying to navigate her way through life. We think she has it all, but even the World's Most Beautiful Woman still has trouble trusting herself.
Who would've imagined?

Beyonce's "Life is But a Dream" Documentary Trailer
2013 has JUST started and it's already becoming Bey-Cray!
Just this past week we've seen her hotness on the cover of GQ and drop the news that DC3 will be coming out with a new album!
We all know she's going to kill it during half-time of the Super Bowl and wait...remember she's coming out with a documentary she directed on her own?
I can't even keep up with all of the projects she's doing!
Check out the video above to get you hyped for her HBO doc Life is But a Dream and for Bey, Jay and Blue....it really is!

Beyonce Gets a $50 million Deal with Pepsi
adage.com |
centrictv.com |
Bey is really workin' it lately.
Not only did she score a huge deal with Pepsi, but she also gets her own can! I cannot wait to drink one of these. They're so fab.
However, this isn't your ordinary cele-soft drink-endorsement.
According to the LA Times:
" In lieu of traditional advertising campaigns or multi-platform plugs, the soft drink will back Beyonce in any creative project of her choosing.
'This global relationship gives Beyoncé multiple outlets to tap into in order to express her creativity, and will attract new consumers to both brands with great new experiences and content,' one Pepsi exec said in a statement.
'Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,' Bey told the New York Times. Possible collaborations under the partnership could include photo shoots (like the cheeky concept work she posts to her Tumblr) or anything else Beyonce just feels like doing.
The structure of the deal has a similar vibe as husband Jay-Z's collaboration with Anheuser Busch. Forbes points out that the beer company tapped Jay for "planning sessions to provide his unique spin, thoughts and insights on various brand programs.' "
King Bey keeps bringing it.
It goes to show you....if you don't grind....you don't shine.
Not only is King Bey working her Pepsi deal, but she's got a upcoming New Years Eve performance at the Wynn in Las Vegas, her HBO special and Super Bowl Half Time Show!

Beyonce to Direct Own HBO Documentary
![]() |
beyonce.com |
Queen Bey has teamed up with HBO and will actually direct her own documentary, which will air on Febuary 13th, 2013. 13 days after she performs at the Super Bowl Half-Time show.
The documentary is being called "intimate" and "revealing" and will provide "raw, unprecedented access to the private entertainment icon and high-voltage performances." The film will also include footage shot by Beyonce on her laptop.
I can't wai tto see this because I loved "I Am...World Tour" special.
Hopefully we can see more photos of Blue Ivy.

"Girls" on HBO
Get your mind out of the gutter, not those kind of "girls"!
It's a new show on HBO about a group of 20-something women in New York City.
Wait..that sounds familiar.
No, I'm not talking about Sex and the City, either. Well, it's not as glamorous as SATC and the main characters are younger. But one of them works at an art gallery, an other is a writer, there's the sexually-free lady and the uptight virgin. So, in a sense it is kind of like a hipster- SATC.
Show creator, Lena Dunham, says Girls is basically about the ladies who watched SATC and wanted to be a Samantha, Carrie, Charlotte or Miranda and move to the Big Apple....but then reality slaps them across the face showing them it's really not feasible to spend more on a pair of Manolos than your rent....or even realistic to buy a pair of Manolos when you've just graduated from college and looking for a job!
The show follows main-character Hannah (played by Dunham) in her journey to become a writer in NYC. Viewers get to meet her friends (descriptions are from the HBO homepage:
Marnie: Hannah's roommate and best friend. Highly responsible and very put-together, she has a very adult job at a very adult art gallery and a serious, long-term boyfriend -- neither of which she can admit she might not love (or even like). Played by Allison Williams, she's the daughter of NBC Nightly News anchor, Brian Williams. She reminds me of a Charlotte/Miranda hybrid.
Jessa: Jessa is beautiful, British, an occasional nanny who has travelled to as many different countries as she's had boyfriends. Back in New York for the first time in years, she moves in with her cousin Shoshanna, ready to shake up her friends' lives a little bit.
Shoshanna: Shoshanna is Jessa's younger, bubblier American cousin. A virgin with Sex and the City dreams and Brooklyn nightmares, her friends tend to dismiss her as a suburban innocent, but she consistently proves to be a surprising source of wisdom. Our generation's Charlotte.
Adam: He's the guy Hannah sleeps with sometimes -- when he decides to answer her texts. He's an actor-writer-woodworker (triple threat!) with a small subsidy from his grandmother and a love of dirty talk and even dirtier sex. There might be more to him than meets the eye, but it's going to take Hannah some time to figure it out. Meanwhile, she will continue to show up on his doorstep dressed as a sex witch. Sort of like the Mr. Big in this series.
Already seven episodes in and I've fallen in love with this show. It touches on the lives of all girls in their 20s who are not a girl, but not yet a woman. *Thanks, Britney Spears. They deal with the insecurities, job and boyfriend drama all females are facing in this day and age of the economy.
I personally can relate to almost all of the characters, except for Jessa.
Which Girls character are you?
