Beyonce and Jay Z's Twins are Here!
Instagram: @beyonce
Like many of us Beyhive members, we've been scouring through Beyonce, Miss Tina and Solange's social media accounts for SOME photos or some confirmation from the family of the long-awaited arrival of the Carter twins.
Are they fraternal?
Identical?
WHAT!?
Various media reports confirmed the birth via sources and visitors to the Los Angeles hospital with pink and blue balloons and presents....then grandpa Mathew Knowles finally confirmed.
I'm sure Bey loved that *insert eyeroll*
Instagram:
TMZ reports that the twins were actually born on Monday, however the news was leaked on Saturday. TMZ says a " "minor issue' surfaced, and as a result..doctors do not feel comfortable releasing them." Sources say that Bey is okay, but no word on what the issue is and when she will be released.
Fans have been waiting on these widdles ones since Beyonce's Instagram announcement in February. Since then she's been killing the fashion game, rescheduled her Coachella appearance to 2018 and almost made us faint at the Grammys.
Here's hoping Bey and les twins have a speedy and safe recovery.
Can't wait to see the photos!!!

Beyonce Celebrates Pregnancy with Star-Studded Push Party
Over the weekend Beyonce threw a star-studded bash celebrating the upcoming birth of her twins.
We still don't know the due date, but Matthew Knowles has reportedly said the babes are due in the next two weeks.
Looking at Beyonce's belly, we know it's coming up!
The mama-to-be looked fab in her African-inspired garb and intricate henna tattoo on her belly. She and husband, Jay Z, looked absolutely in love..making us forget how much we hated him when listening to Lemonade.

This is supposedly Beyonce's second baby shower.
What is a Push Party? Well, it's basically an alternative to a baby shower. Many women feel after having their first child, there's really no need for another baby shower...but , I feel they should always have one!
This bash definitely looked amazing.
When are these bey-baes coming!?!

Other stars in attendance were Serena Williams, who's expecting a baby of her own, Vanessa Bryant (Kobe's wife), Lala, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Lorraine Schwartz and many more.
Of course, mama Tina was in the house...she even did her own take of her older daughter's pic when she first revealed she was pregnant.
All guests had their own wraps and garb on while the African theme was all around them while music from late-Nigerian artist Fela Kuti played in the background.

Beyonce Drops New Song and Video on 9th Wedding Anniversary
beyonce.com
beyonce.com
Only Beyonce would MAKE money off of her anniversary gift to JayZ.
Beyonce dropped new song Die with You along with a touching video exclusively on Tidal on the couple's 9 year wedding anniversary.
The Carters tied the knot in a secret ceremony back in 2008 and now 9 years later have a beautiful 5 year old daughter and twins on the way!

On Beyonce's website she uploaded some photos from the family's trip to the Grand Canyon for last year's anniversary, which was just weeks before Lemonade dropped.
Like most Beyhive members, we're all still healing from Lemonade and the ill feelings we have towards Jay.
Is our Queen giving us permission to like him again?
Bey, I need answers!

Beyonce and Jay Z Celebrate Richard Lawson's 70th Birthday
Instagram
Beyonce's and Jay Z along with Kelly Rowland and other family and friends helped celebrate her stepfather's birthday by giving him a surprise party! Actor Richard Lawson married Bey's mom, Tina, back in 2015.
About 14 people, including the birthday boy, ate at one of Ms. Tina's favorite restaurants in LA. The party was at The District by Hannah An, a modern Vietnamese spot.
Of course, Ms. Tina posted videos and pictures from the night on her famous Instagram account.

Throwback Monday
In honor of Solange's latest milestone.
Solange Knowles Gets First #1 Album with "A Seat at the Table"
These Knowles sisters are something else!
First Beyonce gives us life with Lemonade, and then Solange drops her a surprise album of her own and it's now at number one on the Billboard 200. A Seat at the Table beat out Bon Iver's much anticipated album, 22, A Million.
Solange Knowles has long been in the shadow of big sister, Beyonce, but with this new album of hers she's creating a lane for herself this time.
Elevator jokes aside, Solange's credit for her vocals, art, vision and lyrics has long been overdue.
This album took Solange 4 years to create and the songs everyone seems to like are Cranes in the Sky, Don't Touch my Hair, Weary and Mad. Cranes in the Sky was actually written 8 years ago when Raphael Saadiq handed her a CD with some beats and she wrote the track in her hotel room that night.
The album has Lil Wayne, Kelela, Q-Tip, The-Dream, Dev Hynes, Master P and Kelly Rowland. The album gives me deep soul vibes, but Knowles also sprinkles in some spoken word especially around race. She has a snippet of her mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, describing how she's always loved being black and one from her father, Matthew Knowles, on how mad he was being roughed up by the cops and the Klu Klux Klan as a young man in the South.
Solange even released a behind-the-scenes documentary on how A Seat at the Table came to fruition.

Not only are all of us regular folk in love with the album, so are celebrities.
Missy Elliot, Calvin Harris, Lena Dunham, Rashida Jones and Joe Budden are among the many who are loving this album.

Beyonce Kills it with CFDA Fashion Icon Acceptance Speech
beyonce.com
beyonce.com
On Monday night, Queen Bey accepted, The Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Fashion Icon Award. She did it while looking fly as hell wearing a hat that looks like it came fresh off her Formation World Tour.
beyonce.com
beyonce.com
Upon receiving the award, Bey made the most profound and powerful speech explaining how back when she was starting out in Destiny's Child, alot of designers didn't want to dress them. "When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels didn’t want to dress four black country girls."
Boy, I bet those designers regret that choice now!
It was a family affair, husband Jay Z was in attendance as well as baby Blue Ivy and mom Tina Lawson.
Read Bey's full speech here:
“Thank you Diane. It’s such an honor to receive this award from you.
You know, as long as I can remember, fashion has been a part of my life. It’s effect on me actually started before I was born.
beyonce.com
She then passed this gift down to my mother and taught her how to sew.
When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels didn’t want to dress four black country girls. We couldn’t afford designer dresses. My mom was rejected from every showroom in New York.
But like my grandmother, she used her talent and creativity to give her children their dreams. My mother and my Uncle Jonny designed all of our first costumes and made each piece by hand…individually sewing hundreds of crystals and pearls…putting so much passion and love into every small detail. And when I wore these clothes onstage, I felt like I had an extra suit of armor. It was so much deeper than any brand name…my mother and my uncle and my grandmother were with me…I couldn’t fail.
My mother designed my wedding dress, the dress I wore when I won my first Grammy…the list goes on and on…
This to me is the true power and potential of fashion. It’s a tool for finding your own identity, expression, and strength. It transcends style and is a time capsule of our greatest milestones.
So to my mother, my uncle, and my Grandma, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for showing me that having a presence is more than the clothes you wear or your physical beauty. Thank you for showing me how to never take no for an answer. Thank you for showing me how to take risks, work hard, and live life on my own terms.
And I want to say thank you to every designer that works tirelessly to make people feel like they can write their own story. You are fairy godmothers, magicians, sculptures…sometimes even therapists.
I encourage you to not forget this power that you have or take it lightly. We have an opportunity to contribute to a society where any girl can look at a billboard or a magazine cover and see her reflection. Soul has no color, no shape, no form…just like all of your work, it goes so far beyond what the eye can see. You have the power to change perception, to inspire and empower…to show people how to embrace their complications and flaws to see the true beauty and strength that’s inside all of us.
Thank you.”
