Justin Timberlake: Why He Left *NSYNC

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com
On Super Bowl Sunday, we all were blessed with a little taste of Justin Timberlake giving us *NSYNC vibes in the commercial for Bai.
It seems like Timberlake took that vibe and ran with it in his interview with the Hollywood Reporter . In the article,  Justin Timberlake touches on a lot of topics. Music, fatherhood, his friendship with Jimmy Fallon and leaving *NSYNC (insert record scratch).
Yup, JT's finally talking about why he left the boy band back in the early 00's.
The article actually clears up the misconception that the band broke up..they actually did not.
Back in 2002, they announced a "hiatus" and basically haven't performed after that with the exception of the 2013 VMAs to honor JT.
"We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big," says Timberlake, explaining why he decided to bail. "It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche. And, also, I was growing out of it. I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart."

The boys are still cool though.
Just last year they all got together to celebrate JC Chasez's 40th birthday.

Ex-Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC Manager Lou Pearlman Dies

billboard.com
For any boyband enthusiast from the late 90's and early 00's, you probably hated Lou Pearlman. We know he's the man responsible for Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.
The 62 year old former manager died while serving his 25 year prison sentence. He was currently at the Federal Correctional Institute in Texarkana, Texas, on Friday.
YAHOO News says "Pearlman was convicted in 2008 for his involvement in a massive Ponzi scheme that swindled 1,700 investors out of a half-billion dollars.
Pearlman was also sued by most of his acts – the Backstreet Boys, NSync, O-Town, LFO, Take 5, Natural and Aaron Carter – for fraud and misrepresentation."
Regardless of their past ill feelings towards eachother, former employees of Pearlman ie: Justin Timberlake,Lance Bass, Howie D. and Chris Kirkpatrick expressed their condolences via Twitter.

Erik-Michael Estrada from O-Town took to Twitter to express more feelings of Pearlman's passing.

Even Baby Carter, Aaron Carter, got in the mix.

Rumors Swirling Possible *NSYNC Reunion at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

mtv.com
*singing* "Here we goooooooooooooooo!"
I'm dying right now!

The boyband hasn't done a performance in 10 years!

People Magazine reports:
According to the New York Post, which first reported the reunion, his former bandmates were all spotted in the VIP section of Timberlake's concert with Jay-Z at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Friday night, alongside Timberlake's wife, Jessica Biel, and mom Lynn Harless.
Sunday's performance will mark the first time the bandmates have performed together on TV since the 2003 Grammy Awards, when they took part in a tribute to the Bee Gees, reports the Biography Channel.

'NSYNC sat at the top of the pop world for much of the late '90s and early 2000s – at times alongside rival boy band Backstreet Boys – and throughout their career they sold tens of millions of records to their ardent fans.

They went on hiatus after their 2002 Celebrity tour, but never ruled out the possibility of getting back together.

"I think when the stars are aligned, the time is right, and all five of us have our heads on straight and know the direction we're going as a band, it'll eventually happen," Kirkpatrick told PEOPLE in 2009. "If not, I know we'll be best friends forever."

J.T. will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at this year's VMA's, and leads in overall nominations.
The awards ceremony will be the first in Brooklyn at the Barclay's Center.

I'm so juiced, right now!!
It looks like this year's Video Music Awards will be like the ceremonies of yesteryear!
