                                   With Remy's diss track hitting the web over the weekend, some people didn't realize who she was. They thought her career would be over after Nicki clapped back on social media...what people don't realize is that Remy's been in the game for a while. Peep this video to get acquainted.

Nicki Minaj Responds to Remy Ma Diss with Beyonce IG Post

It was only a matter of time before Remy Ma was to finally go in on Nicki Minaj. Since her release from being in prison, everyone was curious as to how Remy and Kim would get along.
At first things seemed cool, Remy even congratulated Nicki on winning BET' Female Rapper of the Year", then on Phresher's Wait a Minute  (Remix) Remy raised eyebrows by her line:
Will I smoke this bitch? / Yes” and “That ghostwriter ’bout to call her / That lifeline getting shorter / R.I.P. Biggie Smalls, why the f*ck they ain’t want her

We were all wondering if this was about Nicki or not...

Fast forward to February 24th,  Gucci Mane released Make Love featuring Nicki, and it’s pretty evident she’s talking about Remy with the line Oooohhh, oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here? One platinum plaque, album flopped, bitch, where? (bitch, where?)”

Then that's when Remy released her beast titled ShEther famously paying homage to Nas' diss track Ether fired at JayZ way back when they had beef. Ether is the epitome of rap diss tracks.

This diss track is 6 minutes of pure fire.
Keep in mind this is the SECOND female rap legend to go after Nicki with a diss. Remember Lil' Kim's Black Friday back in 2010?
There's no hook, no celebrity features....just FULL hip-hop! She beings the track with an old recording of Nicki yelling Free Remy!

Remy fires the ultimate shots by mentioning her relationship with her YMCMB family, her exes Meek Mill and Safaree, her butt and her wardrobe choices.
The diss includes lines like

“Are you dumb? You a pink diamond chicken wing chain. You had a leather beehive on your head. Are you forgettin’ that I pressed you before, bitch?”
Then, the verbal hay-makers commence. “I saw Meek at All-Star; he told me your ass drop/He couldn’t fuck you for three months because your ass dropped/NowI don’t think you understand how bad her ass got/The implants that you had put in her ass popped,” she raps.

 In response to this track, Nicki took to social media posting a screenshot of an article stating how Remy's album with Fat Joe Platos o Plomo  hasn't done well on the charts (which she has since taken down).

 

Then Nicki posted the ULTIMATE response by posting a free-style song of BEYONCE calling Nicki the Rap Queen.

Then in a turn of events, somehow Trey Songz was involved.
IDK about that one, but regardless I'm hoping Nicki takes this beef off of social media and to the studio.
All rap fans who've been fans of Nicki prior to Pink Friday have been waiting for the old Nicki to come back and by actually rapping. No gimmicks.

Maybe this will light a fire under her. 

Nicki Minaj's Video for 'Starships'

Watching this video I feel like I'm 15 again watching TRL with Carson Daly.
Translation: This video belongs in 2001 during the boy band- teen pop-era.

By watching this video the first thought that came into my head was Nicki sold out. I'm not a feminist or anything that denounces women with bangin' bodies scantily clad running down the beach. Hell, if I had a body like Nicki's...I'd do it in a heartbeat.
While it was refreshing to see Minaj act a little "normal" in a video for once, the condept didn't make sense to me and it looks like her YMCMB team are doing whatever they can to showcase her ba-donk-a-donk. Hello, Stupid Hoe and Beez in the Trap!?
So her latest videos are her just shaking her ass like a video vixen *borin* *yawn*.
Also, the thought of her wig getting all of that sand in it, kind of grosses me out.
The Prophet Blog likens her video to that of Heidi Montag's:
“Isn’t it funny that Heidi’s cheap videos were just filmed on a camcorder by Spencer Pratt, while Nicki’s clip was done by a famous director with major label funding, yet the videos are essentially the same?”

Nicki Minaj Releases "Beez in the Trap" Video

I'm not sure which personality of Nicki's is in this video with Mr. Ridin' Around & I'm Gettin
 It, Two Chainz, but the song is hot. Even though I have no idea what it means to beez in the trap.
It reminds me Nicki Minaj the rapper. Not the popstar we've seen as of late. What I find interesting is that this video is the typical video vixen- slangin' chains- makin' it rain- hip hop video.
Could it mean that Minaj is selling out?
hmmm.
I don't care what she does as long as she raps, gets rid of those hideous multi-colored lacefront wigs and dresses "normal" for once.
I'm still debating on whether or not I want to buy her sophomore album.

Nicki Minaj Debuts "Stupid Hoe" music video

Once Nicki revealed the release date of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, I got really excited....until: Roman in Moscow and Stupid Hoe were released as singles and she pushed back the release date from February to April.

When I first heard Stupid Hoe, I knew right away it was shots fired at Lil' Kim. The song starts off cool, then just gets plain boring. Repeating Stupid Hoe over 100 times in a 3-4min track just sounds like an elementary school-jump-rope-song or a song you made up on the fly while trying to diss your high school enemy....not a single off of your second album!
After listening to this track, no wonder people are saying good music is dying. I prefer Big Sean's "Dance A$$" over this horrid song.

Then Nicki released the video collaborating with Hype Williams.....a stupid video to match an even more stupid song. I just don't get the concept. It seems like the YMCMB team wasted their baby money on this one.
C'mon, Nicki! Stop selling out. Produce a quality hip-hop album.....not watered-down pop!
At one point in the video Minaj is in a cage and kind of resembles the Queen Bee, but all in all....the entire video is lame.

I'm just getting really tired of Nicki's over-the-top looks. It's getting old. She does look pretty in the video. However, for a Hype Williams joint....this video doesn't look like it took much creativity or money to make.

Sorry, Nicki. I just keep getting disappointed by you.
