Yes, Kim Kardashian West doused herself in glitter to promote KKW Beauty's launch of Ultralight Beams hilighters and glosses.
Taking the name from husband, Kanye West's, song Ultralight Beam from The Life of Pablo album, this collection includes 5 hilighters and matching glosses. The hilighters can be used as a hilight or an eyeshadow. Some beauty bloggers are even using them on the lips too!
Beauty guru, Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty posted the collection.
It shows the pigments come in silver, gold, rose gold, copper and bronze.
I'm not sure if I'm going to throwdown on these babies yet. I wasn't too impressed with the contour sticks.
The hilighters and glosses go on sale on Friday December 1st.
Drama in the makeup world!
It's no secret that makeup artist Jeffree Star was called out in the past for his racist behavior. Recently, Kim Kardashian West told fans to "forgive" the makeup star after her fans dragged him for making fun of the way KKW displays swatches for her new powder contour palette.
However, in turn Kim got dragged for defending Star so she took to social media to apologize to her fans:
A post shared by Kim Kardashian Snapchats ๐ (@kimksnapchats) on
The whole drama started on Monday. The reality star debuted on social media her new powder contour palettes. With various Snapchat and Instagram stories, Kim shows off each palette's colors by using her arm and two other people's.
However, they weren't very flattering and makeup maven Jeffree Star called her out:
Umm... Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? ๐ต Looks like chalk ๐ pic.twitter.com/yCTZg2UhZu
After these tweets, KKW fans began to drag Star and bringing up his past regarding video's leaked of his racist rants.
From there Star replied:
It didn't take long for Kim to jump on Snapchat to defend Jeffree. She acknowleged that she's new to the makeup swatch game and even her makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic to help her.
Kim Kardashian and beauty go hand in hand.
Since Keeping Up with the Kardashians debuted in 2007, we've all wanted to emulate her look. Everything from the cascading long-black locks blown out to perfection, her perfectly arched brows and her contour.
Whether you like her or not, her makeup has inspired looks for the past decade and who can blame her? She's gorgeous and she's constantly killing the makeup game and it's no secret that she's finally taking the reigns and coming out with her own beauty line, KKW beauty.
We've seen her build her fragrance empire, then collaborate with her sisters for Kardashian Beauty (previously known as Kardashian Khroma). Then baby sister, Kylie, burst on the scene with her lipkits, eye kits, highlighters, etc.
Well, now it's Kimmy's turn.
We got a hint of this with her collab with Kylie for a lipkit back in April.
Kim's debut product? A contour and hilight kit, of course!
On June 21st, Kim will launch 4 creme contour and hilight kits in light, medium, dark and deep dark. Every kit comes with a dual end blending brush and sponge. Each kit will set you back about $48.
According to the LA Times, "Industry sources expect that KKW will blow through the reported 300,000 units that were produced of her $48 Creme Contour & Highlight Kit in less than five minutes, amassing $14.4 million in sales." No bad, not bad at all. Are you going to cop the new kit?
