'Jersey Shore's' Pauly D Gets Own Spin-Off

You all are probably really pumped and excited for Christmas Day to open up all your presents under the tree you've been itching to do since they've been placed there.

Unless you're my brother and already opened them already, then RE-WRAPPED them without anyone knowing and have to look forward to being FAKE-Surprised when you got that new iPhone 4 you already knew about.

Or excited to get crazy on New Years Eve.

I too, am excited for that the aformentioned activites, but I'm excited for one thing in particular...

THE 3RD SEASON OF THE JERSEY SHORE ON JANUARY 6TH!!!!!!
I can't wait to view all the debauchery again!

However, my Christmas came here early when I found out my "boyfriend" Pauly D will be having his own spin-off!

MTV wants to know about Pauly's life beyond the shore. Reports say the show's working title is Pauly's World.

Radar Online says Pauly D, in contrast, will be sharing with viewers what it's like to hang out with him, his manager, his buddy and his bodyguard as the 30-year-old Rhode Island DJ hones his skills and works his career.

The site says filming for the show is already in progress, but no word on when the show will debut.

Interesting how news of this came just days after your's truly had a dream that she was the newest cast member on the Jersey Shore and Pauly and I were talking.

hmmmm....maybe it was a premonition!

Throwback Monday: Merry Christmas Around the Bay Gal Style!

....okay, so it's two days late.

I posted it on my Facebook page, but forgot to post it *gasp* on my blog!

Shame on me!

Since Christmas is on saturday, I deemed this video appropriate.

Enjoy!

Michael Jackson and 50 Cent Collabo

Wait a minute.
Have I died and gone to heaven? A Fitty and Michael Jackson collaboration being released a year and some change after the King of Pop's passing?

I've come to learn Michael had a little gangsta in him.

Considering the photo below (courtesy of Bossip) and forgetting he appeared with Jay-Z at Summer Jam back in 2001. He also had Biggie drop a verse on This Time Around on his HIStory album.
I didn't know about the Biggie thing until today!

This photo disturbs me.

And now...a track with 50 Cent!?!

Wonder if MJ ever heard 'Patiently Waiting' when Fitty says he'll make his enemies look like a 'Michael Jackson jacket with all them zippers'?

Random I know, but isn't that basically Michael's middle-name?
Yes, I know Joseph is his middle name but still!

Off MJJ's posthumous album Michael, the track Monster produced by Blackstreet's Teddy Riley (yeah, he's still around) features 50 Cent!

At first I felt this track may have been disappointing because it features two of my favorite artists, but I really like it. I'm sure others may disagree because everyone seems to hold Michael to a high standard by constantly comparing him to his Thriller and Billie Jean days. The song is tight and I can most definitely imagine hearing it at the club. However it's nowhere near classic-status-Michael Jackson.

But I think we ALL figured that.
Does the album Unbreakable ring a bell?

The song also features the typical-MJJ natural sound of breaking glass that has been apparent in his later songs stemming from the Dangerous album. That's so played-out.

Unfortunately I couldn't find the song in its entirety online. So here's a snippet.
When I find the full song I'll post it ASAP.

Sidenote: What's with all of these artists jumping on the monster-bandwagon? First Gaga (who I feel originated it), Ne-Yo, then Kanye and now Michael.

New Lil' Wayne

Weezy's single 6" 7" from the unreleased Carter IV featuring Corey Gunz.

The song's hot!

Thank the Lord he's off that rock nonsense.

I wasted my money on Rebirth.

but...isn't that what we expected from Wayne since his release from Riker's Island?

Take a listen!

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

After all of the buzz following Kanye West's new album, I decided to head to my local Best Buy and pick it up.

I can't write a full review right now, but all I can say is....WOW!

This album's ingenuity and uniqueness remind me of the Kanye I liked circa 2004 with the College Dropout album.

Here are some nuggets I can offer so far:
1.) The intro into the first track is AMAZ-BALLS! It features Nicki Minaj reading in a Disney-esque storyteller voice.

2.) I'm loving the regal-feel to the album.

3.) Some undertones of the album's artwork and tracks kind of go along with those Illuminati rumors. Justsayin.

Kardashian Kristmas Kard

I have a love/hate relationship with this family (well mostly with Kim) and this is why.
They ALWAYS have the most amazing photos for their Christmas cards.

I wish I was on their mailing list!

I hate to admit that they all look fabulous, especially little Mason.
He's so adorable!
He's the same age as my niece! Maybe I should hook them up!

Throwback Monday

I heard this song on my way to work, thanks to my new iPod connector cord for my new car.

Gosh, I love that my vehicle has caught up to 2010. Now I can listen to my iPod without the hassle of my iTrip. Yes, I did have love for my iTrip but all the went out the window when I had to constantly change radio stations mid-commute to correspond with my iTrip's frequencies and what-not. Basically causing a headache when my favorite song would come on, but there was too much static to actually hear it.

Wow, didn't mean to bore you guys with my technology-issues.

Alas, all  that changed when I upgraded my ride and along came the technology.

Anyways, back to the point.

I came across this song this AM and realized....

I kind of miss Master P.

Uhhh.....na na na na!

The whole point of these Throwback Monday posts is to reminisce about the old days. So naturally thinking about Master P brought my back to my days in Junior High and High School. The days of K-Swiss sneakers, puka shell necklaces, chola-esque eyebrows and make-up.

Does anyone even remember this song?

Good Song for a Bad Mood

Around the Bay Gal has been in a crumby mood and this song always seems to pick up my spirits. I love this song! Especially the line in bold, because your's truly was a student working weekends in the city at one time. ;0).
No, I'm not trying to be conceited and trying to imply this song is about me...I just really love it.

I hope you do too!

I really love the lyrics, that's why I posted them, but scroll down to hear the actual track.

Drake ft The Dream – Shut It Down Lyrics
[Drake]
These girls ain’t got nothing on you
uhh, say baby I had to mention
that if you were a star you’d be the one I’m searching for
all the girls they got attention
but I just always feel like there in need of something you got
its obvious you’re pretty
heard that your a student working weekends in the city
trying to take you out girl, hope your not too busy
and if there’s nothing wrong, got this little song
for you to get ready to
put those f-cking heels on and work it girl
let that mirror show you what your doing
put that f-cking dress on and work it kind of vicious
like somebody’s taking pictures
[Chorus]
shut it down down down
you would shut it down down down
you be the baddest girl around round round
and they notice they notice
you would shut it down down down
you be the baddest girl around round round
and they notice they notice
you would shut it, hey oh
these girls aint got nothing on you,
nothing on you
[The Dream]
Girl you’re the greatest
and if he say you aint
girl he’s out his mind
you’re the finest
and if he say you aint
that boy done lost his mind
hey baby, everytime you come around
shut it down like computers
hey lady, step into my heart
and put you in the louboutins,
what you want
What you need
I can be (I can be)
your everything
(who knew)
them other n-ggas
just wanna hit it but if they had it
wouldn’t know what to do with it
(and together)
[Drake & The Dream]
we shut it down down down
they know we shut it down down down
your the baddest girl around, round round
they know this, they know this
(repeated)
[The Dream]
TMZ, Concrete loop
you shut that muthf-cker down down
ice cream conversations they all want the scoop
you shut that muthaf-cker down down down
[Drake]
Shooting Stars all around her, fire. comets.
I could bring her through and shut them down, Onyx
No, you’re not imagining, they’re looking at you long stares
Even though she’s standing out she looks like she belongs here
You feel the hours pass, until you find somethin’
I feel like when she moves – the time doesn’t
yeah, baby you finer than your fine cousin
and your cousin fine, but she don’t have my heart beating in double time
you just shut it down, girl
who told the cops where the party was?
why do I feel like I found The One?
What’s in these shots that you ordered us?
damn. I mean you sure know how to paint a town
ever since you came around its obvious you shut it down
You shut that sh-t down (down down down)
you shut it down (down down down)
you shut it down (down down down)
you shut it down (down down down)
you shut it down (down down down)
you shut it, ohh
[Drake]
You know this, you know this
[The Dream]
you looking good girl
go go go get em girl,
go go go go hit em girl
go go go go go go
you shut it down
[Drake - Verse 3]
The way I’m feelin’
Things I say
All just happen
When you pass my way
What can I do
To make you stay?
I know it’s gettin’ late
But girl I don’t want you to leave
You tell me you’re just not the type
You wanna do this right
And I’m not tryna say I don’t believe you
But I refuse to feel ashamed
And if you feel the same
This wait ain’t gonna make us better people
Take those f-ckin’ heels off, it’s worth it girl
Nothin’ is what I can picture you in
So take that f-ckin’ dress off, I swear you won’t forget me
You’ll be happy that you let me lay you down down down
I’m tryna lay you down down down
You still the baddest girl around round round
They notice they notice
Let me lay you down down down
Tryna lay you down down down
You still the baddest girl around round round
And they notice they notice
You would shut it
[End]

Most Dramatic and Nonsensical Music Video Goes To......

Drumroll, please.....

Can't Be Friends- Trey Songz

I love the song....hate the video.

It's too over-the-top and super-cheesy to me.

There are so many other ideas Trigga's production team could have come up with.

The only good thing about this video is seeing Songz' display his rock-hard body the entire time!

Sneak Peak at Kanye's New Video

I smell a new single coming out!

A sneak peak of Kanye's new music video Monster was leaked today and it looks creepy and crazy.

and I like it!

The video features the artisits on the song which include:  Jigga Man (Jay-Z), Nicki Minaj & Rick "Rozay" Ross.

What do you think?

Throwback Monday

My Pandora Quick Mix channel played this song while I was getting ready this morning, and I couldn't help but break out to the choreography from the video.

Hence why I felt this video would be perfect for today!

A Gosselin/Palin Camping Trip

Once upon a time I used to tune in to The Learning Channel aka TLC, to catch What Not to Wear, then later Jon & Kate Plus 8.

What Not to Wear  has gotten old, and we all know what happened to Jon & Kate Plus 8...the only thing that keeps me tuned into the channel is Cake Boss and L.A. Ink.

I should have known TLC was going crazy when they premiered the Duggar family a while back and now...Sarah Palin's Alaska!

I wasn't going to bother blogging about her show because when I tuned in, it didn't grasp my attention for longer than 15 minutes.

However, I came across this video via Perez and noticed Kate and her 8 kids will be on an upcoming episode where the Palins and Gosselins (minus Jon) go camping in Alaska!

Seriously, WTF?

Check out this clip!

Makes those rumors about Kate being a diva seem not so far-fetched.

She whines about being hungry because she just can't take the wilderness.

Maybe you shouldn't go camping, bitch!

But of course, I'm going to watch!

Well, Whaddya Know?!

Seems like Usher read my blogpost regarding his decision to swear off Twitter in order to raise money for AIDS and HIV, because it looks like he's baaaack!

About 12 hours ago he tweeted the following:

Usher Raymond Twitter

So much for digital death.

Considering the fact that he was ALREADY late in wishing Rico a Happy Birthday, what was the point of this?

Umm...Usher. The cause you're supporting has only raised $300,000....that's not a million.

This PROVES this campaign is STUPID!

I'm still waiting for Kimmy Kardashian to go throw cyber-withdrawals and breaks her promise as well.

Let Me Rant....

I know I'm a little late on this, but this photo does both of these men NO justice.
Okay, so it's a promotion for the two rappers....but they look ridiculous.

Even if Soulja Boy Tell 'Em and Fitty said 'No homo' while posing for this pictorial....it screams everything but.

I just find it very interesting that this photo came out considering it looks like they're a couple, and also that 50 Cent was cool with it considering his gay-bashing tweets a few months ago.

The article in XXL Magazine (for whom the cover was shot) says;

Hate it or love it, 50 Cent and Soulja Boy—two of the most polarizing figures in hip-hop—will appear on the magazine’s forthcoming November issue.

Umm....okay.
This feature makes no sense to me, even a month and a half after its release.

Am I the Only One Who Thinks This is Stupid?

Real celebrities like Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake and reality stars, Kim Kardashian,  are making a digital sacrifice and will be abandoning Twitter and Facebook until $1 million has been raised for World Aids Day and Keep a Child Alive.

To really show these celebs don't play, they have been shot in ads showing them dead in coffins.

Seriously?
What happened to the good ol' fashioned tel-a-thon?
My twitter feed is personally not affected by seeing a lack of tweets from Kim 'fame-whore' Kardashian.

You're taking a break from your VERIFIED accounts anyways! It's not like you guys are giving up half your paychecks for the cause or a small percentage of your income!

I know participants like: Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga and Serena Williams among many others are sincere. I think it's more of the Kardashian presence that bothers me, because at least a few the aforementioned celebrities have gone out of the country to help the cause and seen it firsthand.

Kim Kardashian hasn't really done much in terms of philanthropy. However, I'm pretty sure she's dying without having access to social networking. We all saw how stir-crazy she went without her cell phone.
Kim "Fame Whore"Kardashian

Serena Williams

Alicia Keys

Swizz Beatz..lookin' like an idiot.

My Precious, Jay Sean

To add to this tomfoolery, the celeb-participants even broadcasted a Last Tweet & Testament.

I'm not trying to hate on the actual cause, and so far fans have donated close to $200,000. So, it is working.
What irritates me is, do these celebs really think they're the sh!t that we really miss not seeing their updates on our Facebook wall or Twitter feed?

I really don't.

The hot-mess celebs who have the fun tweets aren't even participating!
